Threads You Routinely Ignore ?

"Kids today are hopeless."

"Who could be stupid enough to like a Glock?"

"Nothing has been any damn good since 1945" (or 1950, or whenever)

To name just a few.

These are some of my favorites.

"Sheepdog" threads. Anyone who thinks their concealed carry imbrues them with special police powers to protect an unarmed and vulnerable gentry from evil. Don't even look at the first page any more, not worth the aggravation.

You can tell some threads are destined for the "lock" just by looking at the title. Why go there? Just to stir up "stuff" that aggravates the Admins? For most of us, junior high was a long, long time ago. How about we start acting like it?

Then there are the threads that rehash the same old thing for the 10 thousandth time. Usually with the same people posting the same thing they have posted over and over.

This latter type of thread must have some type of therapeutic value is my best guess. My advice to others (which I hope I can follow myself!) is if you don't have anything positive to contribute to such threads, exit immediately and find one you like better. That curmudgeon stuff gets old in a hurry.

People can take stuff so seriously, from Glops to their precious caliber of choice... it can be good entertainment.

Threads ranting about how someone else is the "idiot" are good. After reading the OP, "irony" usually comes to mind.

I got yelled at over at the Colt forum for pointing out this very thing!

Someone posted about a show (a reality show) they had watched the night before, and how the person on the show was a complete moron. Others chimed in, and the consensus was the same.

I posted, Lets see....Guys sitting in front of the idiot box, complaining about idiots on said box. Why does the word "irony" come to mind?

They didn't seem to like that very much!

And as far as threads I completely ignore? Any thread that has anything to do with plastic guns.

Generally, posts that are political in nature, especially conservative versus liberal. I don't vote based on solely one issue and think few people do. They just result in name-calling and bad feelings.

Masons have a steadfast rule: " NO discussing politics in Lodge!"
