I picked up a 500 pack of thunderbolt and put a couple hundred rounds of it through the 15-22 tonight.

Every 8-9 shots it would sound rather quiet and the shell wouldn't fly as far on the ejection. I didn't have any jams or misfires, no crazy shots though I was only at 25 yards, so who knows.

I clean the rifle after each outing and normally keep her on a diet of CCI Blazer or AR-tactical, I've never seen this with any of those.

I just thought it was odd enough to bring it up here, has anyone else experienced this with thunderbolt ammo?

It just means that some of the ammo is likely not going supersonic, so you don't hear the sharp "crack" from the sonic boom. Most likely the other ammo was not going SS at all so it sounded more consistant. Ammo that does not go SS is more accurate in a rimfire, and the reason all .22 match ammo is subsonic in speed.

No problems with Blazer's here; but that other brand tends to do that; shoots dirty also; requires a lot more time to clean up the firearms after using it.

the thunderbolt is disgusting to clean, 180 rounds of that was equally dirty to an entire 525 box of blazer. also really cakes on there, I don't think I'll use that stuff in anything but a bolt action or revolver .22.

No more through my 15-22, that's for sure.
