Try to convince this guy that it's not 0600 IT'S 0500! GO BACK TO SLEEP!

I recently saw a meme of a man refusing to turn the clock back at the end of daylight saving as it was going back in time and he would not live in the past.

The fact that he had been living in the future for the past 7 months had escaped both his, and the meme's creators, notice.

I often do the time conversion between Central time in the U.S. and NZ in my head. Sometimes it is 17 hours, sometimes it is 18 hours, and now it is 19 hours again, until you go back to DS time a few weeks before we end ours in March.

Apparently Frontier Communications is an anti-DST organization. The displays on my landline phones on my Frontier FIOS service do not change to DST. Resetting them manually does not work -- they instantly revert to STD time. Serves me right for being a landline-owning Luddite.

The Senate passed a motion to get rid of it but the House has not yet followed suit, IIRC. Then we would have to see if Biden would sign it into law. Would love to get rid of it even though it does not affect me as much since I retired.

"Time seems to follow a universal, ticktock rhythm. But it doesn't. In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein determined that time is relative—in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference."

I thought it was just me who couldn't reset the phone.

I spent 34 yrs starting work between midnight and 6am. Usually 2am. My sleep patterns are so messed up that time doesn't matter to me. I thought when I retired I'd sleep like a normal person, but nope! In my part of the world the next 5 months involve a fireplace and tv. Time really doesn't matter.
