Good reminder. I also recommend swapping magazines in SA's that are loaded, but not used, every 3 months. Keeps the spring from taking a set. Unload magazine A, Load magazine B.

Clean and lube is an "after the range" or monthly cycle for me.

I change my home AC filter on the 1st of every month and clean my 19-4 snub EDC the same day.

While I haven't weighed the dust in the Plastic, Alloy and Steel is Real EDCs we carry ..... plastic attracts more dust in pocket carry with holster or without.
Lubricant absorbing dust in a blowback?
It's like wet batteries on a yacht..... monitor it daily at first then you can create a schedule..... lazy captains and owners often put everyone at risk.
I love my HS 22Mag derringer as it cleans easy.
