time to up EDC?

I carried a 642 for many years. I changed over to a Sig 365 a couple of years ago. I pocket carry (carried) both. I shoot the 365 much more accurately than the 642 and the extra rounds are a bonus. I feel comfortable with 9mm since the great strides in ammo development. I would never consider going back.

Or how about the 3rd theory that no one seems to consider:

He was @#$%%% CRAZY and crazy people don't do logical things!?

That is always a valid theory. Unfortunately, they do seem to be often able to hold it together well enough that the firearms dealer completes the transaction and transfer of the weapon.

The family in this case knew the guy had issues, were not happy with his purchase and subsequent "playing with a machine gun" in the house. Hindsight is clear, but this could have been a legitimate deployment.of CO's red flag law.

It is bluer than it was, but completely Marxist is a bit of a stretch. Anyway, how is old Pennsylvania doing it that department? How many percentage points did Trump beat Biden in 2020?

Boulder County actually has a relatively high per-capita level of carry permits and NFA holders. Of course, the local Progressive Activistocracy has blinders to all of that, especially local socially liberal groups who also support 2A.

ok, I submit that I might have been a bit "harsh". According to usconcealedcarry.com, the only difference between PA & CO is that you guys have a high-cap ban, banning magazines with over 15 round capacity. On just about every other point - we are exactly the same.

My words were mostly based on the people I personally know who live in the boulder area - and all their facebook posts!

You do not want to use the last election as any indicator, but just for the fun of it, here is how we compare:

CO
Biden 55.40%
Trump 41.90%

PA
Biden 50.01%
Trump 48.84%

It was really like a civil war here! Families really were bitterly divided.

This nation is presently "bitterly" divided. Some might go so far as to say a "powder keg" looking for a match. Things look quite dire in many areas. There are many reasons.

I believe it was South Carolina that just considered reenacting a state militia law mandate. Things are heating up all over the nation.

Some lawmakers hope to exclude South Carolina from federal gun laws - Bill aims to make South Carolinians militia members to keep guns | wltx.com

?LCP?

Carry what you feel comfortable with. That is going to vary with the individual and situation.

For me, it's an LCP in my pocket, usually a P365 on my hip, and an AR pistol in my SUV. Over kill for some, under kill for others. Works for me here in rural PA.

Larry

Could someone please tell me what a "LCP" is?
