Titanium Cylinders and Mil-Comm

I own a S&W 340PD. Are Mil-Comm gun products OK to clean and use on the cylinder? MC25 Cleaner, MC2500 oil, TW25B grease. I have searched all over the internet and even this forum and could not find the answer. I know there are a few old threads on cleaning titanium cylinders but rather than ask the question on an old one I wanted to post a new thread. In addition it is always good to hear updated information from not only the old members up also any new ones on these cylinders.

I have used Eezox for years on my other firearms to clean but I am going to stop because of its toxicity and don’t want to chance anything. I never used it on my cylinder even though when I contacted the maker they stated that it was safe to use on titanium.

I contacted Mil-Comm twice on this question but have not had a response.

I know S&W recommends Hoppe’s Elite and M Pro 7. Thank you for your responses.

I have no experience with this brand, but in general you want to avoid harsh abrasives on the Ti cylinders. These will remove the protective factory coating and erode the metal quickly. So any lubricant without abrasives, used with a soft brush, should be fine.

Would Ballistol be any good for that? It seems to be safe on just about anything. It smells like gym socks but I've never used it on titanium.

I’ve had my 340PD over 10 years and just wipe the cylinder w/an oily rag after a range trip and so far so good. It doesn’t look as pristine as my other guns but it’s an EDC in a pocket holster.

I am not familiar with Mil-Comm so I don't know. But, since the company is uninterested in responding to your simple question, then I'd move on to another cleaner just for that reason.

There are so many other safe and effective cleaners out there to choose. My favorite is
Ballistol but I have several others in my shop. It works well on my 360PD.
