I'd seen Glock frames for sale and even though there were no M&P frames to be had, surely S&W could do a frame swap, even if I had to pay for it. After some back and forth with them it wasn't something they could do. A bit disappointed since I owned 5 S&W semi-autos and a revolver, been a S&W fan since the military. Turned down a shiny new Baretta for a S&W 5906 they had, even signed out a S&W snub-nosed 38 to tuck in my flight vest.
The upside is I have a new 2.0, a box of ammo, a permanent "get out of jail free card" (I now see ANY network request expedited immediately), and I've begun to let it go, this forum isn't just informative but better than a therapist. I've sold the parts to someone who'll give them a good home. Maybe they'll send me photos of them at Christmas, drop a line every so often to let me know how they're doing, possibly a postcard every so often.
I've replaced the sights on my Shield and 9c and plan to swap out the 2.0 sights but the new triggers will be done by a well recommended gunsmith in Plano.
