To my friends here... "I regret to inform you..."

DHart,

I am so heartbroken to hear of the death of your child. Words are quite inadequate to express the sorrow I know we all feel.

You, your wife and family, along with your friends and others have my prayers for comfort, strength, and peace.

We will stand with you even as we are apart. We will grieve with you, not as you do, but doing the very best we can to share this terrible burden you bear now.

May God be with you all.

May God be with you and your family during this trying time.

Very sorry to hear of your loss.

I have been thinking more about the death of your son. Please know that my wife and I have been thinking about you and praying for you. I am the pastor of two churches. Your loss has been shared with the members of both churches. We will continue to remember you in prayer. Tonight at the Christmas party I will remind everyone again of your loss. We will be praying for you this evening. May God in grace comfort you and your loved ones as I am, Yours In Christ. brucev.

Another young, brave patriot has given his life for freedom. I couldn't stop looking at the photo you posted, especially thinking of the upcoming holiday and how your family will miss him. We Americans are very proud of our military troops and wish they could all remain safe in the face of danger. However, with danger comes sadness and loss. May you always remember the good times. I'm sorry for your loss. May God bless you and your family and give you strength during this tragic time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I work Counter IED and every casualty means we have failed-its heart breaking.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I will include all of you in my prayers and I hope that with the passing of time the pain of your loss will ease.

Know that your son is held in His Arms now

May He bless and protect all who are serving to protect us and their families too. We have a niece in Iraq now,in an MP company, so I know of your fear.

Our condolences & prayers to & for his wife, child & family sir. Our Freedom is never free.

My words added here can do little to temper the pain in your heart, but know that one more is praying for your family during this difficult time. May God bless.

To DHart and your family -

I just happened to see this thread for the first time late last night - I had decided to check my favorite forum just before going to bed.

Needless to say, I had a hard time sleeping thinking about your loss. I too have a son and I don't know how I would take it if I were to lose him.

I am also a veteran myself. But, thankfully, I never had to lose any buddies due to enemy action. So I know that I simply cannot understand the depth of your grief.

But last night as I lay awake thinking about this I decided to look at the most positive side of your son's death: He died doing what he felt was the best way that he could help his country that he loved! He IS a true HERO!

And, furthermore, YOU, your WIFE, Elijah's WIFE, and his DAUGHTER are all American heros too in every sense. It is all of YOU that have the task to live on feeling the great sacrifice that you have made to your country.

I believe, as your wife does, that you will all see Elijah again on that far shore that we only reach when God calls us. He will be there to meet and greet you with the great joy that you all are together again!

Until that wonderful day comes, please have faith and draw strength knowing that your son is now under God's loving care, and that he is in a much better place than he was!

Sincerely,
Ron

DHart,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time.

Thank you, Elijah and all others who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and way of life, you will never be forgotten. Preston

My deepest, heart felt condolences to your family for this sacrifice and loss. Your Elijah was a brave young man who deserves the highest honor for his service to this country.

You and yours will be in our prayers.
