To my friends here... "I regret to inform you..."

I am so sorry to hear this news and offer my deepest condolences on your loss of your son. This is incredibly sad...

I can't begin to know what that kind of pain feels like, and I pray to God that I never do know. I am so sorry for your (our) loss.

Mr. Hart:
You and your family are in our prayers. We have been praying for all our troops for some time now. No words can ease the pain your family feels now but please know there are people here willing to stand by you as we stand by others. Your loss is felt by many. God bless.

Dear Mr. and Mrs Hart,
My wife and I have no words that will ease your pain, only the promise of our love and prayers for your dear son and you. We have lost a young man in Iraq who was as a son to us and can truly say we know your pain. Our prayers are with you and yours in giving thanks for your sacrifice.

My heart is broken and I don't know what to say. My wife and I will keep your entire family in our thoughts and prayers. My God bless you all and help you through this.

Mr. Hart, to you and your family our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss... May God give you the strength to do what you have to do.

May God give you and your family and his wife and child peace and comfort.

I am so sorry for your loss.

To the Hart family; my mothers favorite poem.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow ,I am the diamonds glint on new fallen snow,
I am sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle Autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of circled birds in flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry ,I am not there ,I did not die.

My deepest sympathy to all the Hart family,

Allen Perrin

I've come back to this thread a couple times, to reread the op and the replies. And I have to say, I'm crying as I type this. Men and women lose their lives for our freedom every day. Both in the armed forces and in law enforcement. We hear it and see it in the papers and on TV. Maybe it's because I consider the forum members here good friends, if not family. Maybe it's because I felt the pain in the words I read. Whatever it is, it has made me realize just how precious life is. And how unpredictable. It has also added greatly to my appreciation of our men and women in the military. And their families. It's so easy to take life and all it offers for granted. But after reading this thread, it won't be so easy for me anymore. God bless.

Dear Mr.and Mrs. Hart,
My sincere condolences for the loss of your son, my thoughts, prayers and my respect for his service and sacrifice.
May God be with you and your family at this time.
