Joesmith357, no problem. In the not-to-distant future patrol rifles will probably be as common as sidearms. I read your original post about your surprise at the number of agencies who now utilize patrol rifles, and i'm sure you're not the only one shocked by the common use today of rifles in law enforcement, it's just not one of those things that makes the news....but they are here to stay, at least until replaced by some futuristic ray gun type (read phaser) weapon.....
After the L.A. bank robbery shootout many dept's decided to add rifles to the list of items authorized. Many decided that an officer without a rifle was just a target.
 
If anyone has a used Safariland SSIII 070, right hand basketweave for a 4506, I am in need of one. I can buy a new one but would rather just have a used one.

Personal or issued? Personal gun. Issued gun for the department is a M&P 40

Holster used? Uncle Mikes basketweve duty triple lock

Ammo used? 180gr speer gold dot

Back-up gun? Yes. S&W 437

Shotgun? Yes. Rem 870 (Soon to be gone for the rifle)

Rifle? Yes. Don't know the model and no one can carry them yet
