Finally got out to shoot my newest addition. Had a few problems with it. As anitcipated (anticipated is the key word) I had some trouble with the trigger. I found myself pushing forward about where I thought the trigger should break, but it didn't, and I ended up looking like a complete novice with my hands falling forward with no bang. Got to where my first shot was dead on but next was out to the right. For a retired LEO who hasn't shot in over a year, by out to the right I mean rib cage instead of solar plexis. An 8 or 7 on a B-27 target at 15 yds. Well, ok, maybe a few in the elbow.

Also found I couldn't fire it off hand single handed. Sometimes it fired as I relaxed my squeeze. ??? Don't know what's up with that. Too much finger. On a Glock it would probably be the trigger safety resting in the first knuckle notch and not fully retracting.

Fired 100 rounds, Felt ok with it but not in Expert/Master range I had been used to. (With a Sig or 92FS) Probly just need more practice with it. Nudder 1,000 rds or so. :D

my very first handgun,

the very first semi I've ever even touched, that I got for a Christmas '09 present, I'm 100% in a 4 inch at 25 feet, full 16 in 10 seconds*.

Make of that what you will. I trust the Sigma.

* thanks for the folks here who have offered their years of experience that helped me unlearn bad habits and bolstered my consistency, despite my tennis elbow and weak right eye.
