I know that I have seen on here the name of a treated cloth that removes

the fouling on the front of a revolver cylinder

For the life of me I can not locate it
Can someone help me out

Thanks

I went back to walmart to get another one. Of course they were out. Dept. clerk was no help. didn't know what I was talking about. Remington brand was the last one $3.00. Now I have to drive to the other 3 wally's to find them. Ammo is a $1.00 box cheaper at the wally 10 miles south anyhow. . Couldn't believe all the relabled stuff they had with a remington name on it. What's going on, Walmart usually waits till after hunting season to get everthing in.

If you have a bunch of Stainless guns and you want to remove the lead / rings on the front of the cylinders, the Lead Removal Cloths do work well and are worth the investment.

If you do this on one gun once in a Blue Moon, you can use a plain old pencil eraser. The old fashioned white ink erasers (with the nylon brush on the back end) work even faster and better. Make sure you do not have gun oil on the cylinder when you use the eraser or it will not work very well. Flush the eraser dust out of the ejector rod hole when done, with solvent or a light gun oil like Remoil.

Thank you all for the information

Will try the eraser trick but will buy a lead remover cloth the next time I am at my local shop

Have you heard of the Big 45 Frontier Pad? It's made of metal strips that remove rust/grim/lead, and don't harm the bluing. They are from Sioux Falls, SD.
