I purchased my M&P9 back in the first week of February. It came with the fully machined sear and striker block kit from Apex Tactical and I purchased the RAM kit and trigger several weeks ago, but the trigger was on back order. Parts came in a few days ago and I finally got around to putting the trigger in today.

For those that have little to no experience with working on a firearm, I suggest you do your homework or find yourself a gunsmith.

The hardest part of the install was getting the loop on the trigger bar to fully engage the sear. I went out and got a small flat head and a set of feeler gauges to help with expanding the loop. After quite some time I finally got everything up and running. I plan on taking it out tomorrow and see how she works.

I wouldn't recommend a gunsmith personally. The first time I installed the dcaek and aek trigger with no issues and I have no gun smithing experience. I found the you tube videos to be more than sufficient. On the other hand, I do have a lot of mechanical experience as a submariner. So take my two cents for what they're worth.

Personally I would never use a gunsmith, but there are those that are not confident in their skills or have lack of experience when it comes to this kind of thing. Better safe than sorry.

I installed the trigger, just take your time and no worries. I also had to adjust the loop, opened it more than i wanted on first adjustment but it worked perfectly and i didnt have to readjust.

I shot a deputy's M&P9 today and the trigger for me was a bit "springy" and "mushy"...unfortunately, dept. guns are not alterable...so I will have to live with whatever trigger comes in mine.
