Does anyone know the actual size of the trigger/hammer pin? I seemed to have lost the bottom pin and can't find the size. Thanks

The 15-22 pins are a little longer. They are not quite the same as AR pins.

Tell that to CMC. The pins that came with the CMC trigger I dropped into my 15-22 were the same pins I used on my Sig M400 and Spikes lowers.

Although the extra length of the 15-22 pins doesn't necessarily matter. I have the PC model, which comes with an RRA trigger. The pins are slightly recessed from the receiver but I have had no problems. Also, Geissele will tell you simply to use their standard pins in the 15-22 as well. Unless you are concerned about the appearance, there won't necessarily be a problem.

kawboy was'nt asking what worked in the 15-22 but the actual

size, and a standard AR pin is shorter in length than a standard

15-22 pin

The 15-22 pins ARE AR pins. There is no difference. All three 15-22s I have purchased have the pins the same length as so-called AR pins and are slightly recessed with no problem whatsoever.

KNS makes a longer pin for the 15-22, but they are unnecessary unless you are using the KNS pin-locking system.

hammer pin

I have an mp15-22 w the slide fire stock I've pushed over 5000 rounds through it in the past two three weeks. I absolutely love the gun. However, when I watched the gunsmith install the CMC 3.5lb trigger the pins with the E clip worried me...low and behold the hammer pin is missing....I noticed yesterday at the range it wasn't working correctly and when I came home today and broke it down for a cleaning realized the hammer pin was missing. Had to buy the KNS Precision assembly for the mp1522, which will make these pins much more secure....in my opinion the cmc assembly was poorly thought out and cheaply made those E clips are a joke. Anyone else have this issue?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, the CMC pins with the e-clips are made for an AR... not the 15-22. The CMC pins for 15-22 that I have seen, are longer than the AR pins & don't use e-clips. Those pins are held in place by set screws.

I personally don't care for e-clips on any of my guns. All mine use a variety of pins but all use set screws.

Here are the CMC pins for the 15-22. You have to order them special, like KNS, as they don't come with the stock trigger.

CMC Triggers Anti-Walk Pin Set for M&P 15-22 and all Composite Lowers

I may have been wrong about the length, but I was right about the diameter.

I have three CMC triggers. None of them have clips, what are they?. The three triggers I have came with anti-walk pins that had set screws. I did use those pins when I put the CMC trigger in my 15-22; after I discovered the pins Jim linked to above, I switched them out - seemed like no difference to me, but i don't know - all I know is they held the CMC trigger in place...

These pins came with the CNC trigger in the slidefire kit I bought recently. They are definitely longer than the regular, recessed AR pins which were with the RRA trigger that was on the 15-22 before. And yes, they came with e-clips as shown in the pics.

With the CMC drop in trigger you either use the longer pins with e clips or KNS type anti rotation pins. With the drop in trigger there is no springs to hold the pins in place. Like mentioned above the stock pins fall out..

Both the CMC in my 15-22P and the Geiselle SSA-E in my 15-22 are installed with KNS Gen 2 Mod 2 anti-rotation pins.
