I have a original or generation 1 Shield 9mm. A while back I bought and installed a Trujicon front sight. I'm pretty sure I bought it from Dawson Precision. The lamp in that front sight has gotten very dim. I'm planning on sending my slide to Novak and hoping I can get that front lamp replaced and purchase and have installed a Tritium rear sight. Seems like I read somewhere that Novak is a authorized repair venue for Trujicon but can't find that info now. I realize I can find out if Novak will do that(replace the lamp) by calling them but wanted to check here to see if any of you guys have had a lamp replaced by them (or any one else) and how it worked out for you

The lamp replacement has to be handled by Trijicon. They have the proper equipment, knowledge and more importantly, the proper licenses to handle the radioactive tritium.

thanks for the help. I emailed Trijicon, filled out a Return Authorization form and they sent back a bar code. Shipped the slide out this morning and they will recieve it Saturday. Will follow up here on this process

'Glad to know the process for future needs.

My recent poor-man's approach on my old Sig P239 was to use a Sharpie paint pen to put white dots on the face of the dead lamps. It is more visible now (in good light) than ever so I am happy. Had I known the process was easy and not so expensive then I may have replaced but no biggie this time.
