Trying not to end up with a drawer full...

After trying several IWB holsters for my Shield 9mm, I decided to go with an OWB from On Your 6 Designs. Well, after receiving it and trying it on, I noticed that it causes the grip of the Shield to stick almost straight out. Obviously, this is not very concealed...

I am not sure if it makes a difference, but the holster is made for my Shield 9mm with a laser...

First, can somebody, maybe, tell me how I could adjust it so that the grip is not sticking out?

Second, If it is just not going to work, could somebody please recommend a comfortable holster for my Shield 9mm?

I am leaning towards OWB, for the simple fact that almost all of the IWB holsters that I have may be comfortable at first, but as the day goes by, they definitely get to be uncomfortable. However, if I can find a comfortable IWB, I would be open to suggestions... (They were all comfortable at first...)

The next holster that I am looking at is the Alien Gear Shapeshift Core Carry pack. I am not sure that it will be any different, as it does look kind of bulky to me, but I am at my wit's end with holsters and am willing to throw up a hail marry...

The Alien Gear cloak Tuck 3 has been good for several handguns for my husband and I, including the Shield. But we still needed to have a holster belt and locate the holster optimally, around 3:30-4:00 for us.

Good luck.

I almost had a drawer full of holsters until I found Vedder. I use the Light Tuck for all of my carry guns and a 1911

Take a look

Tommy thies IWB has a nice cant which makes a big difference.
I had alien gear but sent it back it's just wider than it needs to be for me, but they did a refund.
I have a crossbreed but not enough cant to help hide the grip for me.
YMMV

My Shield 45 rides n a Lobo Enhanced Pancake at 3:00, and it hugs my "spare tire" just right. :D (sorry, no pic, but you can Google it) i bought it from a fellow member right here in the classifieds.

I just ordered from Harry's Holsters. IWB with a "claw" attachment that is supposed to turn the butt of the gun in closer to your body. I have not received it yet so I can not say how well it works. The holster is a virtual transformer with a ton of options and attachment methods.

By the way, according to the web site where I assume you ordered your holster they seem to offer a 30 day return policy with you paying for shipping. I think Harry's is 45 days.

What kind of belt do you use. A standard fashion belt doesn't support the weight and puckers out. A good stiff gun belt is what you need.

Winthrop Leather OWB "Pancake" has a thirty day Money Back Guarantee, you can return for a full refund if it is not the most comfortable holster that you have ever worn. I bought one for my son-in-law for his VP9sk and he really liked it so I just got mine Wednesday for my Shield. v2.0. It is a quality holster with sweat guard for $49.95 with free shipping.

Also check out the Bianchi #57 "Remedy" (23998) OWB Pancake holster, it does not have a sweat band but it is smaller in size and conceals very well.

Got one of these on order myself. The concept looked like exactly what I wanted. Even added a retention thumb break. The customer service when ordering was AWESOME!

Another option for IWB is the milt sparks Summer II.

Blackhawk IWB

What I use for my Shield is a Blackhawk IWB worn at 4pm. Does a great job of hiding the firearm and makes it very easy to forget it's there.

I have CYA holsters for both Shields and am very happy with them. Well made and a great clip that keeps it in place very well through the day.

I am going to get a hybrid for the Shield 45 - currently deciding between the Crossbreed Minituck and the Hidden Hybrid.

I'd also say take a look at Vedder. If they make it for a gun I own, I go with them - Here is my Vedder collection -
