Twinkies---a sellout

We just tell you they're awful so you won't buy them. More for the rest of us. Back during the shortage, my wife and I were at a hospital. While waiting for teh elevator I noticed a vending machine with some still in it. So I did the logical thing any hoarder would, I emptied the machine and my billfold. Wife thought I was stupid, but everyone who got a package from me thanked me profusely, and ate them on the spot.

Twinkies can form the basis of your emergency food storage program. Lots of calories, unlimited shelf life. I understand that archeologists dug up Twinkies from the pharoh's tomb in Egypt's Great Pyramid, probably 2,000 years old and they looked, felt and tasted just like new.

They may also kill you, but my doctor eats them, so what do I know.

You get a little cake that is mostly air pockets with a cream filling and about 2000 calories, so what is not to like about them. They may well be the most unhealthy junk food since fried corn fritters. My guess is that smoking will be less likely to kill you than a daily diet of Twinkies.

My local Texas road house offers deep fried twinkles? What will they do now? They have deep fried Oreos too. It's the end of an era no more twinkles. Table Talk pies is in Wooster, mass I hope they stay going. The old frisbee pie company.

I remember when they first came out, when the little store near us had them I road my bike to the store and bought a package, they were two for a dime, I started to eat them on my way home, all of a sudden I felt sick, I got off my bike and puked my gut's out, haven't had one since.

I don't think anyone would really want to know what's in them.
When I was a little kid I would ride up to the corner store and buy a banana flip. It was basically a round twinkie folded over and filled with a banana cream filling. Oh those were good.
