I received a partial shipment for the last order I placed with Curtis Harlow and thought I would share them with the community.

I don’t know what the proper nomenclature is for this first pair. I’ve heard them called “fish tail”, “fish mouth” and so on. RKMesa has several I’ve taken notice of and wanted a pair in a K frame size. Here is Curtis’ expression of that style in Turkish Walnut on a very nice 1905 M&P Target I took possession of here recently from a board member.

The second pair are high horn magnas with Pre War medallions mounted on a DA 1917 that was factory reblued in 1971.

The figure on this pair is really complex and difficult to capture so I took several different photos in various kinds of light to try and capture the essence of them.

Some outdoor direct sunlight photos of the magnas to capture the complexity of the figure in the Turkish Walnut.

I’m fortunate to be able to have got on Curtis’ list as he winds down.

You know that those fish lipped, sculped bottom grips are shaped for engraved guns... :D:) So... you either need to get one engraved, or send the grips to me.... :D:D:D:

In all seriousness - they look great on that pre-war Target M&P.

They are beautiful!!!

Congrats and thanks for sharing,

I did not know that sir.

So basically you're telling me that I'm wearing cap toe balmoral oxfords with sweatpants? :D:D

I have posted these before so, once again! I was fortunate to receive these from Curt. Magnas, from a gorgeous chunk of fire wood. The longer they sit in the sun, the more pronounced becomes the curl.

Craig and Spin 132,
Your grips from Curt Harlow are beautiful and I don’t blame you one bit for being so proud of them. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Craig those “fish lip” grips look sculpted and the amount of shape change at the bottom of the grip just amazing.
The expertise to create them boggles my mind.
Enjoy Gentlemen.
