TAMPA - Tampa police and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office are searching for the man they say shot and killed two Tampa officers during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

Police have named two persons of interest in the shooting, 24-year-old Dontae Morris, believed to be the passenger, and 22-year-old Cortnee Brantley, believed to be the driver, of the vehicle that the fallen officers stopped.

Both Morris and Brantley are considered armed and dangerous, Chief Jane Castor said.

The view from SkyFox shows law enforcement contining to search the area near 50th Street and 34th Avenue, where the shooting occurred. Officers were swarming an apartment complex which the Sheriff's office has identified as the Bristol Bay Apartments.

My God give them a place for fallen Cops in Heaven....And may he find a real hot place for the strange named scum that killed them....NO APOLOGIES !!! Period!!!!!

I hope when the authorities find, Dontae, they shoot him down like the filthy piece of excrement that he is, deserves.

You folks know how I stand on LEO support.

Tragedies like this make me hurt not only for the officers, their friends and families, and for the LEO community as a whole, but for our whole society in general.
We have to ask how it breeds an individual that would take the lives of two GOOD people to dodge a check warrant.
God help us.

Comment as you will, but keep it reasonable, and keep off the racial stuff.

Hopefully, when they catch him, there won't be any cameras around. I'm sure he'll resist.

RIP Officers. Officer Jeff Kocab grew up in this area, played football for and graduated from a HS in Va.Beach according to the local newspaper. Two of my grandchildren are continuing a family tradition and processing for LE jobs. Somebody has to step up and do it, especially with the scary times to come.

Thanks to all LEO who put your lives on the line each day to protect us law abiding citizens. May you stay safe as you do your jobs. I hope the families of the officers who were murdered will find peace in the fact that their loved ones were doing a job that needs to be done and is appreciated.

The manhunt continues. Reward is over $100,000. The chief says he's getting help from the 'hood. Can't stay hidden forever.

Problem is, lots of folks in the "hood" can't process a reward payment. Crimeline don't pay with "Bag-O-Cash." If they did, those dirtbags would already be "processed." Joe

Somebody will sell him for that kind of money.

Dead man walkin'.....

Prayers to the officers, their families and friends. Hopefully the perpetrators will be caught quickly and dealt with properly.

Here's the bothersome thing about it,you know these two will be in the "system" for most of their life, and if they get a sentence it'll ether be a small amount of time and they will be sent to get "reformed" then let loose.

Or it'll be death and then twenty years go by to get them sent off~lovely.

Take no offense but if "scary times" comes in my life I'll be looking out for myself,I respect cops but when it comes down to it the only one I trust with my safety is...myself.

The suspect turned himself in last night. His brother was also arrested as was the female driver that questioned and released earlier this week. The funerals for both officers are being held this morning.
