What's an unfired 5906 general worth in new unfired condition on average, I found one locally that's unfired along with an unfired 669, may get both if I can get a decent price. The 5906 has the box but the 669 doesn't. Thanks.

It's a fixed sight. It's the Novak type. He's asking $400 for it and 375 for the 669.
Both great prices unfired.

Grab the 5906 quick - thats a fair price for a used 5906 without box. It would be a steal with box and 2 mags.

Probably grab the 669 too depending on your preferences for transitional 2nd to 3rd gen pistols - great price.

The 669 is a rarer bird, but transition pistols can be odd. Info from skjos table indicates 2 possibly 3 versions most likely 6690 on box end but marked 669 on frame. First was prototype of 6906 TBx s/n grouping observed. Other was small run (most likely from residual pieces) sold thru RSR with red lamp front sight (?) RSR4001-RSR4853. There was also a 6691 RSR4854-RSR4946 with conventional sights.

Multiple variations of 669 Box Ends - typical of transition pistols. Multiple configurations - early Product Codes 104051 and 104052 as early as 1985(?) including some Specials with non-standard Spec (Date) Codes circa 1989(?).

There seem to be a lot of the earlier 669/6690 TAx, TBx S/N out there so maybe $375 for the more common variants is a good not a great price - about 10 currently listed on GB.

RSR variants Product code 108590 Date code translates 1991 - I would think the RSR s/n prefix would be significantly more rare / valuable as I have only seen 2.

Wow, those prices are a few years out of date, or for ones that have been ridden hard and put away wet. Bet he'd go $700 for the pair but if he's firm I wouldn't even blink. As described, you'll never find a better deal.
You can use the 5906 magazine in the 669 with a PGS adapter and be in good shape. Mine's been machined by Novak for their adjustable night sights.
