Have not been posting much as of late, started my new job right after the first of the year in Raleigh North Carolina. Been busy finding a place to live, hooking up cable and internet and getting my Father estate in order back in Maryland. I posed a while back that my Dad passed away on Thanksgiving day 2 months short of 73 years of government service. God rest the Colonel's soul he will be missed by me, he was my best friend.

Did find a 586 no dash with the 6" barrel back in my home state of Maryland before I came down, need to get to the LGS back home this weekend to do the paperwork on her.I also found a nice S&W 59 with two mags at a LGS here in North Raleigh and I am having it shipped back home to do the paperwork with the 586.

I like the area and the people here in Raleigh, seem to be real nice. I will give it a few months and then decide if I want to sell my home in Maryland and make the big move south.

I'll be working a four day week in Raleigh and making the five hour drive back to Maryland, Thursday nights, giving me a three day weekend and returning on Sunday nights.This will give me a chance to keep my Maryland house straight and a day with my Grandson.

So where do I look in Raleigh NC for S&W's

One more thing, I do not have my S&W book with me here in NC the serial number on the 59 is A246110, would someone be so kind as to give me DOB on her.The guns in near mint condition and probaly someones safe queen.

Lawmens on Anvil Place off of Tryon Road near Garner sells S&W's. Fuquay Gun and Gold has S&W's also. There is also Eagle 1 and North Raleigh Guns but I haven't been to them yet.

Is Lawmens an LE only store? Went to North Raleigh Guns tonight that's where I got the 59. Nice people, low on stock but whose not at this point in time.Looked to be mostly new stuff with very few older or traded guns.

Lawmens is not an LE only store. Many people will tell you they are but they aren't. I am not LE and I've purchased 2 guns from them, my Springfield .40 Compact and my M&P .22. They seem to have the best prices that I have found.
