**See Post 10: got the pistols and changed the grips on the 13-3.

I had a really rough week with family medical issues, scheduling with unbending medical staffers, etc.

So, as I was watching the Amoskeag auction, I 'clicked' on a few nickel Smith's.

The first was a nice looking 4" 15-3.

Second was a nice 13-3 with the 3" heavy barrel, box, and papers. It has replacement grips. I have a nice set of S&W combats that I think will look good on this pistol.

Third is a pistol I've been wanting- a 2 1/2" Model 19. This one is a 19-4 so it should be P&R'd. The goodyears will probably go and I'll find something else for this pistol.

These three revolvers plus 4 pocket knives lifted my spirits.

Waiting on the invoice as I type.

Thanks to Oink for helping me with these auction images.

Hey Brother, you're not the 1st (myself included) to make a few splurge purchases when you're down and want a pick-me-up. Those dopamine hits are real. As the saying goes, you only live once!

We're all looking forward to some glamour pics once you have your new items. They all look pretty drool-worthy!

Better days ahead!

The first was a nice looking 4" 15-3 for $600. With premium and cash discount it will be $705 plus shipping and transfer.

Smith & Wesson Model 15-3 Double Action Revolver

Excellent Smith & Wesson Model 13-3 Double Action Revolver

Third is a pistol I've been wanting- a 2 1/2" Model 19. This one is a 19-4 so it should be P&R'd. The goodyears will go and I have some nice S&W targets to go on it. A couple of spots to clean up on this one but I think they'll be OK. $705 with the cash discount plus transfer.

Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 Double Action Revolver

These three revolvers plus 4 pocket knives lifted my spirits. I felt like these were fair prices for the times we're living in...what say the members?

Waiting on the invoice as I type.

The auction website won't let me download the pics.

** Admin, I know the second pistol isn't pinned, but the other two are. Thanks. **

Who says you can't buy happiness!

^^ Thank you! I wasn't able to do that. I copied them back up to the original post.

You can see the 19 has a few spots, but I think they'll clean up.

Does anybody know what kind of grips those are on the Model 13? They're laminated rosewood. When I get the pistols, I'll be able to show more.

This is my first 3" S&W and probably won't be the last. Here it is with a set of combat's. It had some replacement Lady Smith grips on it. Also included were the box, cleaning kit and papers. The 3" heavy barrel balances well with the combat grips in my hand. 1982 manufacturing date and in pretty nice shape.

Model 13s have really jumped in price over the last 3-4 years, IMO.

I've got one but haven't shot it yet. It needs some attention to some rust spots on the outside that I just haven't gotten to yet.

I think the 13 should still be made in 3". I believe it would sell as much as whatever the current highest selling revolver is, IMO. It's basically the perfect carry revolver, IMO.

Cool score, OP!! :D
