USPS problem.

Oh yea, a friend suggested I could track the package by using the USPS app.

Great idea, the last time Bill Gates here tried registering on some site and entering a password using capitals, numbers, and symbols, BATFE notified me I just entered the launch code on some ICBM silo in Wisconsin.

Dear Sleepless in Salome,
Tell her how you really feel. Men often have trouble expressing their true feelings. Try to get in touch with your inner self. Just be honest and open.
She'll appreciate your honesty.
Signed,
Dear Abby

God'll get you for that, Walter . . .

Well, if usps actually always delivered on time, wouldn't have the seasons cheap entertainment of watching the packages progress/regress/misdirect/stall etc. Then would have to rely on just driving the speed limit through town and blocking malcontent speeders.

After two weeks in limbo, my package is now in Knoxville. Which means its probably going back to the sender.

Nuff said. I have commented on numerous threads about how fantastic my local post office is. Our letter carrier is the same lady we have had for 10 years. The ladies in the PO are so friendly I just want to hug them. All my mail comes a day early.

As I have said before, it is a regional thing. But when I order something depending on where it comes from it has to go thru a bunch of cities. Thus, maybe there are only a few rotten apples in the barrel.

The clerks don't like it when every time they ask if I need stamps, I tell them if I needed stamps I would ask for them.

My local USPS people are great, but ever since DeJoy took over, trashed lots of new expensive sorting machines, and implemented slow downs, the works have been gummed up.

I'm in Illinois. This one started in Florida, came to Illinois, then to NC and Ohio, then back to Illinois. A 2-day priority package that took 6 days to reach me.

A friend on the west coast recently bought a pistol from someone on the east coast. After about 8 days he called the ATF to tell them it appeared someone in the USPS had stolen his firearm. He then called back to the USPS supervisor whom he had been speaking with, and all of a sudden the post office jumped into action, found the gun, and rushed it to him. :D

My late father, as a former UK civil servant, would approve of such tactics. He always said that ratting on one branch of government to another was a surefire way to get things moving.

Don't "shoot" the piano player. (Mail carrier or clerk in the office.) They are having a hard time getting temporary/part time help; for quite some time. Because of covid even though it's been quite a few years now! The bargaining unit is getting *&^%$%^&&^%$^& over big time, their union is basically silent/useless, but they keep the mail coming. $20 Christmas tip is about the norm; maybe $25. I have my card for Olive Oyle by my front door right now for tomorrow. She's a good girl as far as her service, but MAN! Our superior being has a sick sense of humor. If it wasn't for retail store flyers and gutter guard ads, I wouldn't get anything but a couple bills a month!

Our Carrier is excellent as is the Post Office. We gave the Carrier $100.00 for Christmas.

A round 10 years ago the post master at my local small post office did not want to do anything unless he had to and then *****ed about it. It was always something with him. Just petty stuff that he had to anything extra. The day he left to run a different post office was a happy day for me. Now service at that office is great. The system is screwed up half the time but that office I am happy with. I have found out over the years that UPS offers the best service with Fed X and the post office running neck and neck serewing up stuff.

It just depends where you live. A few years back we treated people in a brown uniform as potential intruders, because it was highly unlikely that they were there to deliver anything to you.

The clerks don't like it when every time they ask if I need stamps, I tell them if I needed stamps I would ask for them.

She always asks me that as well. (except last time)

Last week I mailed a package to a relative in Georgia. I knew I needed stamps but I was in a hurry and forgot. So, I had to go back the next day and get some.

I feel your pain. But now I'm mad at her because she DID NOT ask me.
