I'm in and out of my truck all day on a route.I like to keep gun handy but not in plain sight when i'm out at each stop. It's in my own pkup truck not company vehicle.I have ccw permit. Is there one place better than the other to store it?

I've seen the gun vault-type devices. I think they bolt into the vehicle floor or where ever. Seems like a secure system if the weapon is left in a vehicle.

If I don't have to disarm much, whatever full sized gun I'm carrying in a Hume IWB.

If I have to disarm frequently, a Model 36 in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster.

When I disarm, I put the gun in my glovebox before I leave for my destination so that nobody at my destination sees me leave a gun unattended.

The wilderness Safepacker Holster's check out their web site, I use mine always, in & out of the car.PS never ever leave any weapon locked up in your car or truck un-attended, you are asking for stolen trouble, I read some horror stories about this on other forums.

I have both a car and a truck that has a center console, and find that it is the perfect place to carry a "car" gun. I use a rigid holster, either leather or kydex, and affix it to the inside of the console with velcro. The gun is always accessible, and I don't have to worry about it getting tossed around as the vehicle bounces through pot-holes. I normally carry the same gun as my CCW that I have in my vehicle, so it's pretty easy to pull it out of the console and put it in my carry holster when I get to where I'm going. I guess I could use the same holster, but I don't want to try to put on a holster while I'm in my vehicle.

J.I.T. with S&W 296 carried at the 11 on the clock position.

With my Barami Hip-Grip (post is above), you can wear the gun in and out of the truck and I guarantee you won't lose it. Many times I sit at home at night, watching the late news, and finally realize I still am wearing my Smith 442 or 640-1.
