Picked up this Victory today. All # match where suppose to, right grip # same. 38 Special(not 38-200 converted), 4" barrel

US Property GHD. S# SV 772867. S marked on right frame. GREAT mechanical shape, tight as can be, little blemish(I think I know what happen, bizare/creepy) on the right side, muzzel wear, top, but over all great shape.

Looks/seems all original, from what I gather it must be a pretty late Victory, any guess as to when?

thanks, where do I find the date base?

Probably mid to late 1945, I would guess. Charlie Flick's data base will give you a closer estimate.

Wait for Charlie to respond to this posting - he will give you his best guess, which will be closer than mine. Ed.

My estimate from our Victory Database is that your Victory was likely shipped in the January-February, 1945 time frame, a little bit earlier than my friend Ed estimated.

BTW, is there a "P" mark on the cylinder face and the barrel underside?

Regards,
Charlie Flick

Charlie

there is P on the left side of frame.

P, S, V on the cylinder face.

and P on bottom on barrel to left of the S#

guess on value?

thanks for the info.
