Vista runs fine on the new notebook computer that I got last month... after I threw out a bunch of my programs that ran on XP... but don't on Vista.

I've gotten over my mad and done the upgrades now.... and haven't really had any problems since then.

Vista sucks...Permission problems!

you can change the Permission required - I use it and dont worry - how often does it Ask for Permission - there are to many good things about Vista that outway the negatives - I gues I better say IMHO

I just heard that Vista is out and Windows 7 is coming this fall. I've managed to avoid it.

I've never cared what operating system I've used. I use what comes on the machine. I do what I think most home uses do, pictures, surfing, spreadsheets and word processing, e-mail. . . I have a wireless router, a desktop and a laptop - both with Vista. Problems = zero. I don't understand why so many people say they have problems with things that for me have worked quite well. Oh well.
