Someday I will find a decent deal when I have the cash for both a M60 and M640 both in premagnum build.

For this poll I went with the M36 though as I also love that one.

Thanks olgilvyspecial for sharing your photos of your shrouded j frame revolvers. Awesome stuff. I've been enjoying my Model 638 Airweight immensely.

It's great to see the classic old model 36 hanging in there. It was my pick and when I voted I didn't really expect the exposed hammer, carbon steel gun to be doing so well. A pleasant suprise.

This one EDC

Model 60, not listed followed by 640 and 36 in that order. I prefer stainless for carry.

Model 640 38 Special. Purchased in 1992 as a back up/off duty gun as young policemen with CPD. Loaded with the 158 grain + P Lead HP (old FBI load). This gun has seen combat and saved my a@" in an off duty shooting that took place in 1995. It's still my deep cover choice in a some respects even though I've left the revolver platform years ago.

Congrats Brent1202 on your recent purchase of a 642,

Snubby

I love my model 63-3 with 2", but need some good wood grips to match my 686-5 4":D

Btw... I'm new here and from Norway, love this forum...!

It does appear if you add in all the models that are "Centennial" in this poll, plus add those Centennials not in the poll, that atleast half of all J frame aficionados prefer the "hammerless" model.
