I've been researching the Hellcat, P365, and S&W 2.0 Shield Plus and planning to get one of the three to increase my carry capacity. I currently carry either a Kahr CM9 (6+1) or a J-frame M36 (5 shots). I haven't been able to find anyone who has one in stock to even look at or handle.

Suddenly I've found myself scrambling to get one, thanks to the br**n d**d voters in our state, who just made it illegal to buy a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds.

So I bought the first one I could find, which was the P365 tac pac with 3 12 round magazines/case and a holster I probably won't use. Hoping I can close out this transaction before this magazine limit is signed into law.

Any P365 lovers/haters here? Tell me about your experiences good or bad.

The 365 is the best carry gun I've come across. You have chosen well.
I would look up "Magguts' who sell spring and follower kits to turn 10rd mags into 12's and 12rd mags into 14's. They also make the magazines much easier to load, as in stock form they are pretty stiff.
I did send my slide to Sig to have a shorter front sight installed to bring up the POA just a bit. Sig's "combat sight picture" caused me to cover up smaller targets. I also added a Houge Handall grip sleeve.
Vest pocket, shorts pocket, IWB in jeans all work well for me.
I find it much easier to shoot accurately than a J-Frame, and more bullets. Much more....

order your spare magazines NOW. The SCOTUS "may" overturn magazine size limit bans at some point, but might not. They ARE wear items. You can replace the springs, base plates and followers, but you won't be able to have the mag bodies shipped to you AFAIK. Feed lips do wear/fail.

Imo, the best choice.

I have the original size (10 round magazines from the factory) and the X size (takes 12 round magazines.) Both have 3.1" barrels. Both with frame mounted safeties, the X has the Romeo Zero red dot and maintains the night sights.

The triggers were good out of the box and got better and better. I have more rounds through the original than the X and the trigger is really great for a striker fired gun.

The best holster, by far, that I've found is the Galco Scout III. Rough out leather so it stays put, adjustable for cant, tuckable. Easy on, easy off. I typically wear it AIWB. Comfortable sitting at a desk or even driving. I can forget I'm wearing it (which can be an issue in my area near Washington, DC.) Though Galco doesn't list the version I have as compatible with the RomeoZero, it is.

I will be limited to two 10 round magazines because of my pending DC permit. 10 rounds max plus one reload is it in DC.

Hint. Use credit card. I would buy at least 10 magazines. You have no time limit after the ban to pay off the balance. (and you will eventually wish you brought more. Extra mags are great for barter or resale).

Perfect with a DeSantis mini scabbard.

Congratulations on getting one of your top choices. The Sig P365 is a fine handgun. ENJOY!

I got an email this morning from DeSantis that they're starting their Black Friday Sale. The mini scabbard is a good OWB choice.

My IWB would be the Don Hume H715-M WCS, which I've owned for years.

Why was brain dead censored?

Also another vote for the p365, but with an edge to the XL variant. It is a stupid good carry gun, shoots on par with the G19s I used to have, and is just an all around excellent pistol. The normal P365 is great too, but I didn't find the extra size of the XL to be a hindrance to carry, and a big help for ease of shooting.

Got my 365 in July after coming to grips with the fact I couldn't shoot my J frame very well anymore. I compared 365, Hellcat and Kahr all side by side. The Kahr is actually the smaller but not enough to matter. For my eyes the Hellcat had the best sights. But when lighting gets low and 365 sights glow it's an easy decision. I carry mine in DeSantis pocket holster and DeSantis belt scabbard, same as ladder 13. Except mine is brown. In NY I'm limited to a 10 rd mag. But with 11 rds I've more than doubled my J frame capacity. Gun is super accurate and shoots to POA with any ammo I've tried. Since the Indiana mall shooting I've been doing some long range practice. 24"x12" steel silhouettes are no problem at 50 yds shooting quickly. You made a great choice.

For the same reason that on another forum H-O-M-O was censored out of Homosapien.
You just shut up and say what we tell you is okay to say OR ELSE
A.I. is going to be so great.

P365

The SIG P365 is a great carry gun. I own a NRA tan model and the newest model the P365 xmacro. 17+1 in a XL sized gun. I like the Simply rugged Holster model that you can wear IWB with loops or outside with belt slots.

depends on the wording of your state's law. Washington prohibits all transfers. Period. I believe you can ship them out of the state though.

Limiting mag capacity is what we got because there has been no movement on better gun ownership vetting. I doubt any gun enthusiast wants some untrained whacko shooting a gun next to them at the range, never mind carrying on the street. Some sort of basic licensing requirement might have a positive affect on mass shootings AND allow us enthusiasts to enjoy gun ownership without the need for heavy handed restrictions. Just a thought...
