I had a problem with the same Dillon digital scales. Dillon said that its warranty was one year on that particular unit. That's not too bad for electronics.
I also found that they sold some of those units at super bargain prices, and with a limited warranty. The warranty of these units depands on the serial number.
I was able to easily fix my scales by disassembling it, cleaning it, and putting it back together. I've put my Dillon scale through 5 lifetimes of tough use, and after a 10 minute repair - it's still working today.
I want to warn everyone and encourage them not to purchase any Dillon products unless they are really ready to accept and experience their no BS warranty and outstanding Customer Service.

I have been dealing with Dillon Precision since 1984 and purchase the RL650 when it first came out. Over the years I have had minor problems with it that was normally resolved over the telephone and the arrival of some small parts in the mail.
.
Two weeks ago my 650 ran into what I considered a major problem. The ram would only raise to within 2 inches of the dies and stop. I disassembled the machine, lube and checked everything, reassembled it and No joy the same problem existed. I repeated the disassembles and reassembly again without any joy.
.
Remember this machine is over 15 years old.
.
I boxed it up and sent it to Dillon with a detailed letter of what I was experiencing. Since it was the Christmas season I was guarding my credit card spending waiting for Dillon to call me and tell me what it was going to cost for repairs. I didn't disassemble the 650 when I sent in to them because I wanted them to see exactly what is was doing.
Today it arrived. No cost covered under warranty. they included a list of part they replaced. Now there is unexpected Joy.
.
That is the reason that on my reloading bench resides, two 650's, a 550b, that has been upgraded from a 450 years ago, a Dillon electric scale, a Dillon Beam scale. and a Dillon primer pocket swagger. All the reloaders are equipped with the Dillon low primer warning system and the Dillon powder check system. I also use the Dillon Dies. I had been using the other brand named dies in the Dillon presses but had determined that for flawless operation the Dillon dies was what I preferred. I still use the other named brand dies when I use my single stage press.
.
Kudos to Dillon for their Customer Service
PS I had a large Dillon Vibratory Case Cleaner that only lasted 27 years and had more then 1,000,000 cases ran through it. Replaced under warranty in 2011
In most states I think that is still called solicitation and illegal. Not too sure I want them going out of business just right now as I have a bunch of their stuff and may have warranty issues.
And their stuff is good enough without the smut.
I have the same setup. Besides fast delivery of (free) replacement parts they are super helpful on the phone when you have issues.I have 2 Dillon SDB, any time I have a broken or worn out part I call them and a few days later the parts arrive---FREE. Now that is customer service.
