Tall weeds grow on my property line. A string trimmer takes too long to whack them down. I mounted a hedger to the mower deck and it mows down my weeds and the neighbor’s in five.....okay, maybe ten minutes. There’s a deep ditch by the weeds which prevents using the mower to cut the weeds. Pictures of work area in Post 9.

A 2x4 runs across the underside of the deck and is bolted in place. A plywood plate holds the hedger. A cable controls the hedger speed. Notice how the aluminum bar controls the hedger trigger.

Can be mounted/removed in ten minutes.

Now that is a clever arrangement and you didn't have to say 'hold my beer'. Good job

Homemade sickle bar. Nice.

My Dad always said "Find the laziest man around for a hard job, and he'll figure out a way to make the job easier." I always took that as a compliment. American ingenuity!

I would never let my wife on that rig, she's seriously destructive on mowing equipment. However I see areas around my place where that would work. It looks well thought out.

Pure Genius!

In the words of the great 'Red Green'; "If women don't find you handsome, at least let them find you handy!"

I have to say that when I saw the title of this thread -- Weed-O-Matic -- I thought you'd invented some new-fangled marijuana vending machine... :)
