Well, I am selling one

What kind of "PawnCop" are you?? If you sell it back then it should be with 25% interest, compounded monthly for how many years did you have it??:D;)

Your a good friend.

...contacted by a former officer...sold me a S&W model 60-7 stainless steel Chief's Special...assured him if he ever wanted it back...got an e-mail him today...would be willing to sell it back to him...

I just wanted to thank you - I learned a lesson (at your expense) - NEVER EVER offer (for whatever reason) to allow a friend to buy back a gun at a later date. I know at the time of sale it sounded ok - but, we all have a way of getting attached to a particular gun. You did the right thing - but, in the future...

You sir are a fine man. Last year I was on the other side of that transaction. I had sold a M57 to a friend about 17 years ago. I had never asked him to give me first refusal. When I got back into hand guns I contacted him and he agreed to sell it back. He set the price at what he had paid me and wouldn't hear of taking more. "I don't make money on friends." Good to know there are people like you and he still around.
