Well, that is unfortunate.

If I buy another refrigerator my requirements will be:
1) No computer or internet hookup
2) No Ice maker or water hook up - just old fashioned cube trays.
3) No "special zones" other than a refrigerator and a freezer
4) No filters or parts to buy every month
5) a warranty for longer than it takes to install
6) Energy efficient but still keeps beer cold

I see what you did there. You laid out your requirements in the hope that somebody on the forum with stronger Google Fu than yourself would scour the Internet and find this unicorn.:D

Bought a Frigidaire in 2008 with an ice maker (no stupid and unnecessary water filter) in 2009. One of the few times I bought an extended factory warranty on anything as it did not cost much, but so far have never needed to use it. Warranty renews every three years, cannot renew it when it expires next year. It replaced a Frigidaire we bought in 1992 which we moved to duty in the garage. Never had any problem with it either after 32 years.

Well, the orig fridge works sometimes, sometimes not. Good news is the spare is working fine in the garage. I guess until I can afford one I'll have a non-working fridge in the kitchen. Maybe I'll take the shelves out and keep a shotgun and rifle in there. You know, handy.:D
