In less than a week I will need to qualify with my backup gun and I was hoping it would be my 940. But I need shot cartridges for dispatching small furry animals with bad attitudes in urban areas. Five rounds of moonclipped shot cartridges would be very convenient when swapping out different ammo types. The only problem is I can not find any of the CCI 9mm shot cartridges anywhere. Why is this stuff so hard to find? Is there any way to handload it? The only thing I can think of is cutting down the .38 shot capsules but I don't have any more of those at the moment and I'm not so sure that's the best way to go about it. The performance is nothing to brag about in .38 Special either, and I'm reluctant to reduce the capacity even more. And I'd like to find a bag of #12 shot, but no luck with that either.

I don't know that I'd want to be chased around by a rabid Raccoon while trying to swap out revolver loads. Whether moon clipped or not? But then I view all handgun shot shells as "Rat Shot" and nothing more. And 5 foot away rat shot, at that!
