I prefer a 200gr 45 in a +P . Your personal defense cartridge may not be what a leo carrys ether . They have a little different list of most a bullet must do and even that keeps changing over the years . Mine is simple , destruction of soft tissue. Not shooting thru slanted windshields or heavy metal fenders and modern auto does have that . So pick what you can handle well and place several rounds on target in short order.
