What are you carrying? Sub-Compact, Compact, or Full Size

I've been Front Pocket carrying since 2010, so I guess I'd have to say Subcompact. My EDC for the last 4yrs has been the Shield9. Before that... The PF-9.

Before Subcompact 9s hit the market, my EDC was a G19. Before the G19 hit the market in '89, it was a S&W model 19.

Carry either a S&W 40 Compact in a Garret Industries GX holster or a Beretta PX4 sub Compact in 9mm in a Holster made by Beretta at the present time .. both at IWB at 5 ..

I'm still breaking in a Sig Legion P229 in 40 S&W in a Garrett GX or Wright Leather Works holster which I will carry this winter when a cover garment can be worn in our cold winter climate ..

Extra mag on my weak side with my MH12 NiteCore 1000 Lumen Flashlight .. Sig P238 HD is my pocket pistol which wraps up the carry

I work in a Pawn Shop and carry one of my 3rd gen Smiths openly every day. My 4013 TSW gets carried more than anything in a Don Hume Black leather H 726 on my right hip.

With a jacket, HP, 1911, M 10-5 2", M 10-5 3", M 24-4....

Every day carry in "the Burbs of the Burgh".....a 3913NL 7+1 and a extra 8round mag.

Away from home generally a PC Shorty-9 12+1 (6906)...... w/ a spare 15/17rd full size mag with a +2 spacer......... or two.


Both carried IWB in a Milt Sparks holster.....................



Also have/keep a Mini-14 (new NRA model/ 16" heavy barrel) with a 1-3x20 Weaver scope and 10 and 20rd magazines packed in a grab and go bag..........................

My EDC is a Beretta 92fs in a custom leather OWB holster at 4 o'clock with my shirt tail over it. It falls somewhere between OC and CC due to the bottom of the holster sticking out under my shirt. It is by far the most comfortable setup I own!

If I know I'm going somewhere where I need deep concealment, I carry a Taurus 709 slim in an alien gear IWB but it's not nearly as comfortable.

Depends on 'scenery.'

Most of the time either my M&P 40c, or my M&P 357c in a BlackHawk Serpa OWB. Other times my M&P 40FS, same holster.

Always carry 1-2 spare mags in off-side cargo pocket (if shorts) or mag holster otherwise. Always loaded with JHP, 180gr.

I carry a 380 Bodyguard.Tried shooting quite a few guns before I bought mine.I was the most accurate with the BG. Fit great in my hand once I put a small mag extender on it. I like that it has I little heaver trigger pull no accidental fire. Easy to conceal. All around great gun for me. And all three of my sisters carry one also.

Most of the time and now in the heat of summer I carry my LCP, other times and cooler weather and depending on mood it's a Smith 36 or my Glock 27.....
It's what works for me!

I guess it's considered a full size, but I carry the HK P30, in a cobra brand leather iwb holster. Maybe it's considered a compact, since the P30sk, is the next smaller offering is a sub-compact??

It's Africa hot down here although sometimes it drops down to WAY hot. Thus, khakis and a Polo most of the year. I, therefore, carry a Ruger LCP in a DiSantis pocket holster. In weather cool enough for an outer garment, I carry a variety: S &W mod. 60, Walther PPK, Ruger LC9. In the big city and with appropriate weather, an M&P 40 or 9mm, both full size or Ruger R1911. Choice is by whim. I practice with all of them regularly.

Predominately G27. Have stopped carrying the G43 and considering the Shield. I'd prefer .40 in a single stack. I have a $299 coupon that's staring me down.

^ This. My scenery is a grey overcast rainy downtown sanctuary city where the homeless/transient/mental-drug cases range.

.40 cal is as small of a caliber I'm willing to defend with. Minimum daily carry is 20 rounds. None of my colleagues EDC anything less than 8 rnds. Glocks are fan favorites because of the ability to carry full size mags as back-up(s). Most drop to a pocket pistol when attire/event prohibits.

For formal occasions where it's tough to carry a compact--the Shield's .40/.45 is a hot contender to replace my G43 which now sits with the wife next to her lipstick. Size/thickness matters in formal wear/semi-formal events.

I carry a 9mm Shield most of the time, usually in an Alien Gear 2.0 IWB.
Sometimes I carry my Glock 19 in a Remora or Crossbreed Supertuck.
And when the cold winds blow I occasionally carry a full-size Ruger SR45 in an Alien Gear IWB.
