I am not a collector by any means and don't want to pass myself off as one. I do have a few old rifles and pistols in the safe. Just wondering what you have your eye out for next. Me, I will keep my eye open for a nice K frame 22 revolver at the shows this Winter. A lot of fun and very inexpensive to shoot. And it will go to the Grandson of-course in time.

My 7yo grandson has an assortment of 22 cal revolvers, pistols, turn of the century single shots and pump rifles. A k22, a colt officers target, colt positive police, many different h&r revolvers. The h&r revolvers look good too. He doesn't know it yet so let's not tell him.

As for me anything K or N frame that stands out in nickel. But I'm flexible. I could go after a Redhawk in 357 / 8 shot or another in 41 mag.

I've a list. In no particular order it includes a 15, 19, 27, an 18 to name a few. But my gun cash stash is in recovery mode now and if the right deal comes along on another model I'd likely go for it.

I am sort of at the point where I am not "looking" for anything but if something that I consider wonderful turns up anything could happen. I recently sold all of the Winchester Model 94s I had around that were doing me no good and used the funds to buy a Beretta Onyx O/U 12 gauge. Always wanted a hot looking O/U of top quality for the rare occasions I go to shoot birds or sporting clays. I am the world's worst wing shot so I want to look good when I miss!!!

My friend and FFL is holding a gun for me, a S&W Model ....hmmmm....I forget - it is not 351C because that is a 22 WRM, this gun is a .22 LR. Very cute little weapon. I wasn't looking for it but after he got two, well, one had to be mine was our decision. :)

Atlanta suburban store has a collection of mint Smiths with
the cleated blue boxes.

Among the guns are a pre-model 18, a Model 18, a Model 19
w/ 6 inch barrel, a Model 27 with 8 3/8ths inch barrel.

Also featured is a 25-5 in .45 Colt but not minty and some
stainless ones including a 686 6-incher, very minty.

I have a few on my wish list...

In order of priority:
-m57 no dash, 6.5"
-m27 no dash 6"
-m629 Stealth Hunter
-m629 Classic 5"
-m460XVR

What I already own:
-m36-7
-m19-3, 4"
-m19-3, 6"
-m28-2, 6.5"
-m29-2, 4"
-m629-6 Classic, 6.5"
-m460V, 5"

My taste is waaay to expensive for my wallet! LOL! Little at a time, I'll get there eventually.

Then there are the rifles... Not gonna go there.

The gun fund is still recovering from the 637 and next on the list is a 6.5" 29-2. Might be a while. Also a coworker has a NTWF CZ over/under 20 ga. That he will sell. The turkey hunter in me kinda wants that.

I'm in no particular bind to buy another gun right now, since I bought myself a Victory 22 last month. But, I do have a soft spot for N frame revolvers and just own one 44 Mag as of now. So if a nice deal on a 29 or 629 would come up and bite me, I would scarf it up.

I really have spent too much already this year. I've bought 2 model 27's, a sporterized 03 A3 Springfield and now my Victory. That's close to 4k on guns this year. Them 27's were pricey!

I just noticed, I currently own more N-frames than any other frame size. And N-frames just plain dominate my wish list. Guess I have a thing for N-frames

10-3 round butt 6"

About 5 years ago I saw a Smith & Wesson model 10-3 round butt with a 6" barrel on an auction site.

Satisfied the guy had it overpriced I passed it up and have been looking for one ever since.

I'm on the hunt for a 60-10, 681 and a 3" prelock 686. I would also take a nice 586 too. I have enough N frames for my satisfaction.

Welcome to the N frame club then, RIDE-RED 350r. :D Here is a group pic of my N frames. The 6 on the left are my model 27's and the upper right is my 629-3 Classic and the lower one on the right is my 627 Pro.

BTW Jack222, the pic I just posted is one I uploaded to postimage.org, which is a free hosting site. It makes it dead easy to put images into your posts.

Love those 27s!

I have the 27's less sophisticated sister, a 28-2. N-frames make the stoutest 357s a breeze to shoot, even more so than the 6" 686 I owned in the past.

Here is my 28. I still have the original slim grips that are flush with the bottom of the frame, Magnas I think they are called. I threw that set of N-frame targets on as I like the look and fit better. Paid $475 from the LGS for it about 4 years ago. I can't believe how high the prices are getting on 28's these days!

I had my eye on a 340PD without the lock, but it got sold. Then a 657-3 came up for sale on a local site and the money burned a hole right through my pocket into the previous owners hand. I just picked it up a couple of hours ago and it's still out in my truck. I don't dare bring it in right now because the wife will just be asking too many questions. I'll post some pics of it in the morning.
