What are you looking for next?

- Any Chiefs Special I don't already have between 1950 and 1999.

- Model 58 from the first year

- Model 13-1

- A Centennial in .32 Magnum

- Model 45

This is the short list. It's long enough, but there are a few others, too.

Next month I'll start putting together my "buy" list for 2018. Right now I am trying to decide if I go for a K-22 or early Model 17 to take the shooting load off of my 1947 K-22 OR look for a six inch Model 19. Many folks on this blog have talked about how nice the 6" Model 19 is.

I will also be looking for a revolver made in 1945; either a Victory or a Colt.

I also have to commit to getting the rest of the Model 10's. I still need a 10 no dash, 10-1, and a 10-2. I am stopping with the 10-8. Nothing over that. I am leaning towards not completing the series unless I can pick them up for under 2 fiddy each.

Finally I will be looking for a 1901-1909 .38 M&P to complete my series of Model of 1905's.

K-32 of course but that is a pipe dream.

You sound like me with the Chiefs. I need a 36-4, -5 and -8. Not interested in any of the -10s with an IL, although I have to admit the poker player in me gravitates toward that "Texas Hold 'Em" issue.

I would love to find a model 22 or 25 in 45 ACP with a 4" barrel that I can afford. Also a "J" frame in 22LR or magnum, again, with a 4" barrel that I can afford. I can find both but it's the affordable part that's killing me.

A 4" Model 66 or 66-1.

I have seen one locally in all my time looking and it was a former Police Gun that had the Department Name "Engraved" on it and was really rough. A lot of Holster Wear and some pitting. They wanted too much for it and would not move on the pricing.

Here's my newly acquired 657-3

Here are a couple of pics of my latest acquisition. It's a 657-3. I had been looking to pick up a 657 for awhile and a few on GB went for higher than I was willing to commit to. This one came up on a local gun trading site, so I was able to meet the gentleman in person, inspect it prior to buying it and hear a wonderful backstory on it's history.

I'm looking for a nice Model 19. I like .357 and have been slowly selling off all my plastic semi-autos in 9mm. I carry a no dash Model 36 as and EDC and I love this little J frame. Maybe another J frame too.

Might I suggest an M38?

I am in search of a nice shooter grade Mod 51. I gather blue steel adjustable sight mods to shoot. the Mod 51 eludes me every time I find oneit disapears before I can deal on it. I have 14s 15s 16 17s 18s 19s 24 25s 27s 28 29 48 52 53 57s but no J frames yet

I filled out three of my most wanted this weekend. Went to two gun auctions 2 days in a row. The Friday auction got me a Beretta Mod of 1935, The Sat. auction I got a Winchester Mod 63, a 1946 model in great condition (a Mod 1906 Win Auto was my first rifle and I couldn't afford to shoot it as the ammo was too expensive) I always loved that rifle and the 63 is literally the same gun in 22LR.

Then at the same auction I got a S&W Mod #1, 1st Issue (3rd type). I have a Mod 1 2nd and a Mod 1 3rd and didn't think I could afford a Mod 1 1st, It looked sort of rough, some surface rust a little dinged up, but all there and all parts functioning. Appears to have maybe 25-30% blue remaining, and the silver is so tarnished I can't tell yet how much is left, but I only see a little bit of brass showing through.

I will be spending some time carefully cleaning it up. Pictures will be up in a few days on the antique section.

Very little room left in the safe, I'd like a model 65 3" in mint condition.
