What caliber do you have the most of?

Right now it's .357 mag.I have two revolvers so I shoot that caliber a lot. As soon I get a favorite load worked out for the new 9mm that may surpass the .357. It seems I can go through a whole bunch of ammo in a short period of time!!!

22lr, about 17K rds (only because I bought 2 cases of 525 bulk boxes for $300 after the rebates. I probably have 5K 9mm and 2 K .38/357. Less of everything else. 1K 12 ga and maybe 1500 each .308 and .223. I guess I need to stock up. Joe

I own one .22, a 10/22 and only a few hundred rounds.

I remember when they were hard to come by and when they became readily available I started buying boxes of them and didn't even own a .22 at the time.

I don't reload at all.

You got to try. Ever since I made my first few 38 special rounds and shot them through my 28-2 I was hooked and have never ever bought a single box of ammo ever again. You will quickly find that accuracy can be greatly increased, wear on the gun greatly reduced, cost of course a lot less too when talking about e.g. 41 etc. Also, you can make some rounds in 1/2 hour before you go, never to stress where to get the ammo from. Then you can also show up at a steel shoot with 600 rounds no problem. Takes 1.5h to make, quicker than driving to and from Cabelas for me.

That ain't much compared to folks here who like to keep quiet about stuff. I didn't buy it all at once either. 1 case at a time. Well except for the time BassPro had WWB 9mm for $3.88/ box. I bought all they had, 13,500 rds for $1100 in one trip. About broke my little Chevy S10. Joe

The most of anything that I brought home at one time was 2700 rounds of 7.62x51 NATO.

Everything else I just buy a few hundred at a time.

I do appreciate you post.

I'm not a good enough shot to be able to tell you if one load is any more accurate than the next. That and I really don't shoot a lot.

I had the chance to get all I needed for reloading equipment for next to nothing and passed on the deal.

A good friend has loaded about 600 .41 mag rounds for me and some .44 mag. He loves reloading so I let him do it for me. ;)

He loaded and gave me another 200 rounds of .41 mag for Christmas.

I do understand why soo may people reload but its just not something that has ever interested me.

9mm and 22 LR are tied.

But my favorite to shoot are 38 SPL and 44 SPL.
My situation exactly.
Tens of thousands of rounds 22lr.
Thousands of 9mm.
Next would be 45ACP
Followed by 5.56

My favorites are 357mag/38spl and 44mag/44spl
I enjoy shooting them so much I can't seem to build much of a stockpile!

Well theoretically my descending order would be:
.22lr
.223/5.56
.44 mag
.38spcl
.40cal
.357mag
.22wmr
.30/.30
9mm
.308
.45lc
.45acp
12ga

But in reality I live in California so I only grab a few .22 bb caps every few months and shoot them up as soon as I get them.:D:D

I load at least 20 different calibers and keep at least 500 rounds minimum of all of them loaded and usually have a few thousand of each in empty cases . That does not include .410, 28 ga, 20 ga , 16 ga and 12 ga in 2 1/2, 2 5/8 , and 2 3/4 " versions of each . I usually have 2 cases of each loaded . Don't keep much rimfire anymore but I probably got around 5000 rounds of various LR loadings . That's about as close as I can get without doing an actual inventory .Killed a small buck Thursday so my .358 Winchester 180 gr stock is down 1 round ! :D

Ammo in hand

I have several cases of CCI 22 LR ammo followed by 9 MM ammo, then 223, then various types of 12 and 20 ga shotgun shells followed by 308, then 38 special. I have 7 grand kids so we do shoot a lot of 22 rounds
