OK, we all know this will be a much shorter list that the "what can you put it on" list.

I've seen it on cold breakfast cereal, ice cream and popcorn. The farm market by me make fudge and candy apples with hot sauce. My wife puts couple drops in her pecan pie (bless that woman).:)

Seems like everything benefits from a little zing. I have a few different ones in the house but my go to sauce is definitely Frank's (the ONLY proper sauce for Buffalo wings).

So, tell me; what can't be enhanced with a few shakes of hot sauce?....'cause I got nuthin'!

And if, on the outside chance, there is something out that would be destroyed by hot sauce then I'm sure it would work great with a dry rub!:D

In cold weather (yes, we definitely have some of that in Louisville--it's not a southern city, it's lower Midwest) I'll often put a pinch of dried red pepper flakes in the basket of my coffee maker in the morning.

And of course, as a Tennessee native, I have to add a little heat when cooking any kind of greens.

I should use more hot stuff. Capsaicin, the heat in chilis, is a fine anti-inflammatory, and I'm arthritic pretty much all over.

If you haven't already, try Bufalo (the spelling is correct, it's Spanish) Chipotle Sauce. Lovely smoky heat, good in or on all kinds of things.

This is my new favorite as it is hot AND good tasting.

I removed the flow restrictor as the sauce is a bit thick and doesn't move out fast enough for me.
That's how tasty this stuff is!

After 23 years in the Army, I'd be hard pressed to find something Tabasco isn't used on. Our rations have included Tabasco for many years.
Our Canadian brethren picked up the idea and then passed it on to the Brits, who now also include it in their rations.

I use Tabasco sauce as a flavor enhancer on or in just about everything I cook. A couple of drops is all it takes. Better than Kitchen Bouquet.

The only thing I can think of is ice cream.

Some things even hot sauce can't help.

I buy a lot of cheap canned food, especially from the Big Lots overstock chain here. Sometimes they get some pretty good stuff, like name brand (and not so name brand) beef stew. Unfortunately, their stock is completely random, and things appear and disappear, sometimes never to be seen again.

They ran out of the beef stew I was getting, so I went to the Aldi's next door and bought a couple of cans of whatever off brand stew they had.

I generally put 2-3 drops of Dave's Insanity Sauce Ghost Pepper in stuff like that to give it some taste. The Aldi's stew was SO bland that I literally COULDN'T make it taste like anything, even WITH Ghost Pepper sauce! All I could do was make it almost too hot to eat but without giving it any flavor to speak of.

There's people putting hot sauce on ice cream? I haven't thought of that, as I would normally think of the ice cream as relief for too much hot sauce. As to your original question, Kozmic, I can't think of anything(other than ice cream!)that isn't improved with a little zing! I put crushed red pepper in my pasta sauce when it is simmering & I like the kick it gives the sauce. On my recent visit home, my Dad made me a martini with a couple of habanero stuffed olives that was delicious! I like flavor rather than just heat. Lord, please save me from bland food! When I was in the hospital sometime back, one of the nurses hacked me off when she hit my food tray, knocking my bottle of habanero hot sauce onto the floor, where it shattered. The therapists said you could smell it all over the ward, & were asking each other if "the hot sauce guy" had finally exploded!:eek::D

Habanero sauce in the hospital? Obviously not admitted for stomach problems. I hope.

Mmmmm, habanero jello. :D

No stomach problems here, other than this strange tendency to expand as the years go by. The hot sauce wasn't hospital issue;a good friend, knowing my addiction to spicy flavoring, was thoughtful enough to bring me a couple of bottles. It meant a lot to me & really lifted my spirits! Habanero jello sounds interesting...I've had jalapeno jelly & loved it, so I would definitely try habanero jello.

In a past thread everyone was recommending Crystal and Texas Pete. I love Qdoba buritos smothered in Crystal sauce. Is Texas Pete buffalo wing sauce good for anything else?

I got tired of the vinegar, now I just put cayenne pepper on everything! It is really good on deserts that have cinnamon in them, turns normal apple cinnamon pie into a fireball apple cinnamon pie. It is great on cinnamon french toast.

When I feel run down, or out of sorts, I put cayenne pepper in my water. Cayenne pepper is great for your blood.

You can never have enough water or cayenne pepper in your diet. Ed

I use Chrystal & some special stuff a friend makes for me. But I remember when I was in the service a kid from Texas put catsup on his Apple Brown Betty. He cleared table in the mess hall. The guys couldn't believe it.This was in the early '50's.
