What capacity are your S&W revolvers?

I would have preferred to know what percentage of your revolvers are 5, 6, 7, 8 or 10 but you would have had to enter how many you have of each and the polls here don't work that way. From what I have seen in the comments it looks like 85% to 90% of the guns mentioned were 6 shot with 5 in second place and everything else a distant third. Which isn't a surprise to anyone.

Polls that allow more than one choice showing what percentage of the people responding voted in each category seems right to me.

I prefer 6 shots even with my 617 .I like the way the flutes in the cylinder look with 6 ,everything else looks odd
I did succumb to the 5 shot Lframe m69 though , just love that thing lol

Yeah, polls where you can pick more than one option are about as hard as spelling the word "must" correctly...

92% of the 158 respondents said they have at least one 6-shot, 66% have at least one five-shot, 29% at least one seven-shot, 20% at least one 8-shot, and 19% at least one 10-shot.

Everything else 6 shot

OP, so you can run percentages, I own revolvers with capacities of 5 (3,) 6 (22) 7 (3) and 8 (1.) 29 total should be right, I think.

According to the calculator on my iPhone, my breakdown in % is
5 - 10.3%
6 - 75.8%
7 - 10.3%
8 - 2.7%

Hmm…. That adds up to 99.1. Think I'll have another beer and ponder that rounding error.

I sold my 686-6 7 shot and my 27-7 8 shot.
That leaves me with 5 & 6 shot revolvers.

I had to sale all my K frames for vet. bills a few years ago. Now all I have are Two J frames. An older 3inch barrel model 36, and a model 642.

I have one 5 shot - it's a R***r SP101. All the others (I'm not gonna go count) are 6 shot. More than 6 shots in a revolver grates on my nerves! If I want more than 6, I'll use a bottom-feeder!
