What did you get yourself for your Birthday and or Christmas ?

Don't think I really planned it this way but I got a UPS shipment this morning and this is what was in it.

Add this to the new trigger from a couple of weeks ago.

I guess this qualifies as a Christmas present to myself (birthday is in June so I can't count that, just have to get something else then.)

Interesting looking trigger, what brand, and who installed it?

Glad you asked that question because I was just getting ready to post to him myself with that very same question. I think my new M&P 9mm might be interested in something like that. The stock trigger isn't bad but could use a little smoothing out and lightening up just a little. :D

That's the Apex Flat Faced trigger, I installed it.

Have you shot it yet and if so what is your opinion of it. I know Apex puts out some nice triggers for the M&P line and if it smooths out and lightens up the pull on the M&P I will probably be ordering one shortly.

I got my self a new range bag. 5 boxs of ammo.(9mm) and some new cleaning supplies. TruGlo TFO NS and the Apex Carry kit for my Shield.

I had a Heart Attack last year and was in the hospital for over a month with complications. I made up for lost time.
1. A new Shield 9 that I sent to APEX for the works.
2. A M&P CORE 9 with a RMR and Cory Bolin holster.
3. An MP 45C that is yet to be worked on (it will be APEXed soon)
4. A DPX HEST knife Nilox steel triple Black.
5. A Glock 42 for my wife.

I've shot it a few times, I like it a lot, I've had the Apex curved polymer FSS installed since last spring and liked it a lot so I was somewhat suspicious that a new trigger could possibly be any better, but I was wrong. My splits are a bit faster and it just feels better. I have to admit that I'm not getting a lot of pistol time in since my hip injury a few weeks ago (http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/406901-im-sidelines-while.html) I'm going to try to get some time in on Friday and see if I like the porting job that MagNaPort did (if my son will drive me and my wheelchair to the range). Kinda hard to judge the effects of changes with this injury/surgery hanging over my head.

Savage 17 wsm rifle stainless steel bull barrel. Now the hard part is finding ammo to feed it.

I got the new M&P 9mm Performance Center Ported model for my birthday. For Christmas I got an M&P 9c along with an IWB holster. And lots of ammo for different guns.

A 1949 fully engraved pre17 and a Belgium Browning grade II SA 22 :)

I picked up a used 649-5 I had on layaway. It's in excellent condition and was priced about 1/2 the price of a new example.

It now wears a Pachmayr grip and I'm impatiently waiting for "The Plug" to arrive.

I paid for most of it through selling old random gun parts I had laying around.

It's a hefty little gun but much smaller and lighter than the 1911 or 4" N frame I carry. It's going to be my regular discreet carry piece.

I picked up a Ruger SR1911 for my son's 21st birthday.

Unfortunately he just turned 18.

Guess I'll have to break it in for him (he can help if he behaves).

You and your son will love that new Ruger! Had mine over a year now and it has been an awesome gun right out of the box!

Congrats & Enjoy! :D
