What did you reload today?

Over the last two days I have cleaned de-primed resized and trimmed and loaded 500 M1 Carbine rounds 13.3 grains of IMR 4227 under a 110g Remington round nose soft point bullet. Now I need to find more bullets I have brass powder and primers.

I load my 110 gr cast GC'd bullet over 13 grs of 2400. Works well in all my carbines.

Several calibers . 44-40 using the LEE 200gr RNFP sized .427 over IMR 4227 for my Marlin rifle . About 100 38spl cases loaded with the LEE 148gr WC over 2.8 grs of Bullseye . The other day I reloaded some 45acp using a 230gr plated RN bullet on top of Winchester 572 powder . I had never used it before but I really like it so far . Regards Paul

I got my Missouri Bullets today.....

...and I'm in the process of reloading about 300 more 9mm rounds than the 150 I started last week. I had the cases primed and ready so all I had to do was charge and seat, charge and seat. And they are plunking well. I think I've finally discovered the right 'touch' for 9mm. I've always tended to use way too much force on everything but I'm getting over it. I only have a few 'non-plunkers' that I need to look at.

PS: I HATE .380s getting into my 9mm range pick ups. I must have thrown 50 of them into the recycle. And I have a really hard time reading the headstamps on most of them. A long .380 can look like a short 9mm. But I get them weeded out, though it is a PITA.

Wow. I must be a real blabber mouth......

Have been cleaning up my reloading bench. Suprised at what I found. A 5 gallon bucket of 45ACP brass, 3 or 4 thousand 9mm's and other misc. stuff. My tumbler is working overtime. My 550 will be working overtime to catch up. I've been a member for a lon, long time, but this is my first post. This forum has been a wealth of information.

We've been here the same amount of time and....
DANG! I guess I AM a real blabber mouth Well, blabber FINGERS!:confused::confused:

My friend just got a .30 carbine...

It's been his 'grail gun' for a long time. Royal Tiger Imports got a big batch in from Ethiopia and the prices are pretty good. They might have some left if anybody wants to spend about $1200.:)

Straightening my reloading shelves last weekend I found 700-800 cast and lubed 124gn .356 projectiles that have probably been sitting there since the last ammo shortage. I've not cast 9mm projectiles for awhile. So today I started loading them in 9x19 cases over 3.6 gns of Bullseye. the primers are marked $19.95 per K so they are probably also left over from the last shortage.

I recently loaded up a whole bunch of Oregon Trail 200 grain hard cast SWC in .45 ACP. I just filled up 100 moon clips and am ready to break out my 625-6.

Lee 125 grain TL wad cutter lubed with Lee liquid alox. Bullets are unsized. Using 5 grains of Unique in 38 special. I loaded half normal and half inverted.
The regular ones shot good out of my Model 15 S&W. The inverted ones shot good out of my S&W 638, but they might be too hot for that little J Frame.
I'll stick with normal seating and shoot them out of the Model 15 Combat Masterpiece. Should be a good woods walking load.

A friend had some old stock Unique he didn't want so he gave me a couple pounds recently.

My go to 45 acp powder is 700-X with a load of 4.7 grains behind a 230 grain RN pill. So, I experimented with the Unique for a good load. Started at 5.0 grains with a 230 grain RN. This charge cycled the SR1911 well but was too light.

I bumped up to 5.5 grains which was much better. However, it was still a tad light. I figured 5.8 grains of Unique should be good. Loaded 100 of then to try out next trip...

Used the RockChucker to work up some 10mm with CFEpistol. I have 135gr Frangable FP and 180gr FMJ FP loads worked up and ready for a range day with the Chrony.

Did some 12 Ga. trap and skeet loads a while back and just finished some 38 and 9mm to refill my ammo boxes.

I feel for you if the shotgun hulls are getting low and you have to buy new ones for your future loadings, for what they are selling for.

Right now I am getting ready to take inventory on my loaded ammo for my deer rifles, just in case I get a deer tag, in my state. Not an easy thing to do with all the new people that have moved in to the area over the last ten years.
I have three different size calibers that I use, and will have to test three different load in two of them and see how the old standby does in the third rifle.
At my age, I am hoping for a shot at or inside of 100 yards but 300-400 is doable, IF the terrain will allow access to the deer with the 4x4's.

Venison is nice to have but I have learned that there are other foods that
will make me happy and keep me out of the Emergency room !!

Later.

10mm 200 Grain WFNGC under 13 grains Accurate #9 ...

Oh...I like that bullet. What mold is that and do you suppose it's available in 180-185 gr? That's nice.

Over the last few days I've concentrated on 240 gr RNFP cast over H110 and IMR 4227 for 44 Mag.

Me again, using up some AA5 which I have around...

Cartridge: 38 Spl +P
Powder: 6.4 grs AA5
Bullet: Speer 158 gr LSWCHP
Cases: Starline
Primers: Fed 100 primers,
OAL: 1.455” OAL
Approximate velocity (S&W 642 1 7/8”): 800 FPS
Comments: Another Rem/Fed/Win “FBI” level load. A little “dirtier” compared with my Power Pistol 38 Spl +P equivalent. I use 7.1 grs AA5 with Keith 358428 for a real good 38-44 loading for my Ruger 357 Mag (ref: Handloader Oct 2016 article)...haven’t chronographed this 38-44 load but it is very accurate.).

Wild Horses

Yesterday; 45 Colt.

Found 35 cartridges (G.F.L. brand).
36 with Alliant Red Dot (my current plinking reload).
5 with Alliant Power Pistol (just to try in the 45Colt).
4 with Alliant Unique. (just to try again, and I finally
ran out of the 4lbs RD that took years).

Interesting note; all flash holes are not centered.
