What do you actually CCW?

Normally a Beretta 70S or 84FS because they're compact. Winter months or I'm not going to take off my jacket Ruger SR9.

Any of the following:

Glock 26
S&W M36
S&W 60-16
S&W 620
Soon- S&W 327 PC

I carried a Glock 36 in 45 ACP but it proved too bulky. I then changed to a S&W642 in a pocket holster which was readilly concealable. Most recently I have switched to a Kahr PM-9 with a pocket holster. It has a very slim and readilly concealable profile.

The grips are from S&W for non snagged carry
I have longed for my original 640 that I bought in the early 90's and traded many years ago. I like many have traded and sold many firearms over the years with regret on some actions after the fact. the CCW issue is to be armed and comfortable as much as possible when and where Legally The 442 is the closest to replacing that old 640 man it was dumb of me to sell it off.

I usually don't CCW, unless it is cold and my coat just happens to cover the gun I am wearing at the time. I normally open carry, either this one in a Tauris holster:

Or this one in a Blackhawk Serpa CQB holster:

Sorry, IronAddict. I hadn't check this post for a week. I can use the same belt slide for all 686's. It's an Old World Leather, model 23473. It's an open muzzle model. I've carried both a 4
' and a 2.5" in it.

Sunkist,

what holster are you using for the 686? My 3 inch 686 is small enough, I think, but the holsters I have tried did not work well. I forget I have the Glock or my 642.

Usually, I'll carry my 681, but sometimes, it will be my 65 or even my 625. All have 4" tubes, and I am a big enough guy to conceal any of them.

Wilson Pro in a VM II. Occasionally, I will carry my Govt 1911 in its VMII just for variety. For me the constant is the VM II; I have one for my 610 as well.

When I bought a Ruger LCP a year ago, it replaced my PPK. The Ruger is with me almost all the time:

Since I had my Colt Combat Elite .45's mainspring "Bobtailed," I have been carrying it alot since my winter jacket covers it well.

Every once in awhile, I carry my S&W Model 40-1 in a DeSantis pocket holster too:

That PPK is beautiful. My Walther S&W version is headed back to the factory because of the recall.

Here are my 2 main carries. Glock 30SF

or my Kel-Tec P3AT with a Crimson Trace.

Outside the house, I carry a 242. I know it's a bit of an oddball and a bit large as an L frame, but it's a joy to carry all day in a Speed Master and 7 rounds of .38+P are enough for me.

Around the house, it'd become a Beretta 92 D Centurion. It functions just like a 15 shot revolver... no external safeties, just a good DAO trigger. I do occasionally use it outside, but it's just a bit bigger than I like to carry

If I have to go smaller (today), I use a Kahr PM9

Unless I am in a bank or a post office, I have a 642 (pocket) or a 640 (IWB) on me at all times.1 speed strip w/5 rd in left pocket.

Right now its my Taurus 605 2" loaded with Winchester PDX1 130 gr. +Ps. If not, its my Stoeger Cougar 8000 "wonder nine'" artillery piece loaded with 16 Double Tap 147 gr. +Ps. Those rounds rip stuff apart on par with most .40s but with less muzzle flip and more capacity. Too bad I'm just a little guy and cant hide it well in the summer months....good thing those dont last long around here. Anywhooooo, Im waiting on delivery of a Smith 638 airweight to replace my Taurus 605 as my every-day carry piece.
