What do you carry in your vehicle?

I bet that hurts. I have an old aluminum T ball bat that is around 30" long in case somebody wants to start up a game I also have a cane knife in the back with the tools.

Yep, plus it's not a "weapon". It's even farther away from a weapon than a baseball bat, which closely resembles a club or bludgeon! I learned that one from an old STRESS cop.

The only "weapons" I leave in my vehicle are a hickory walking cane, also a knife located in a pocket on the inside driver's door. I have a CC permit so the knife is covered if a LEO questions the knife; I have never had a problem about it but was informed by my BIL (a police chief) that it could be an issue with some offficers.
When carrying my gun, it goes wherever I go.

Just remember guys, if someone steps out of a vehicle with a baseball bat, tire iron, length of chain, length of wire, hatchet, numchuck, sword.... you get the message. Anyone who is armed with a device that could cause bodily injury or even death can be shot in self defense. The knife attack is more worrisome because an attacker can close distance very quickly and deliver a fatal stab or cut. Bat swinging can be stopped before you can yell "play ball".

Moral to the story. Have your gun with you.

I leave a gun in my vehicle, cause I want to make sure I always have gun. I recently picked up a M&P for under $200, need to work in the springs a little more and test it, but that will be my truck gun.

I have no kids.

Someone could break in my house and still a gun too. I'll have to look into laws. But if my truck gets stolen, and I lose my permit, that is just more liberals not putting the blame on the criminal.

I do lock my doors when a gun is there.

I have thought about getting a club for my truck and bike. WI allows the carry of a batons with CC. You could have a guy full of road rage, but unarmed. I don't want to get into a fair fist fight.

Luckily in WI, you can have your gun in your vehicle at work. When I lived in IN, you couldn't, so that was 5 days you couldn't carry.

IN changed their law about two years ago. As long as it is in a locked vehicle your employer can not prohibit you from having it.

I keep a 1911 in a rug under the front seat, a Glock 27 in the console, and a Ruger SR22 in the glove box. Often times there's a .357 lever gun behind the back seat as well. It's seldom unattended for long. It's parked in the garage at night and wife has her own car.

On the few occasions I drive it to the big city (i.e., Little Rock), I pull them all out of the truck and just carry whats on my belt.
