What do you like to keep things concealed? Other than a coat, that is.

The "pilot shirt" is my friend. 2 chest pockets that button-epilets-square bottom and generally in solid colors. I order them big enough, and they are almost all that I wear. I'm in central Florida, so they are good year round. I use an appendix carry uncle mikes IWB open top holster, and have for many years. I just started a thread looking for suggestions on an IWB appendix for 1911/Hi Power. Any leads? Thanks, Flapjack.

We have just had 29 more of less straight days of temps in excess of 100 degrees without any rain. Now I find today will be about 105 and no rain in the forecast for the next seven days.

How can one conceal a sidearm when naked? It is too hot to wear clothes.

That reminds me - my colonoscopy is Wednesday.

I use just a plain old T-Shirt in Black. I work all day with metal and machining parts. Covers well enough for me. I carry Glock 27/ Walther P99/ S&W SD9 and occasionaly a Sigma.

wearing the wrong color bandanna kerchief,in the wrong parts of Los Angeles will get you killed...
Oh for Heavens sake.
I live in Indiana.
( I guess the only WRONG color here would be pink.)

Why would anyone live or visit a place where the color of what you wiped your nose with be a consideration for safety?

Los Angeles is a place I'll never be.

I also wear just a T-Shirt and jeans when it's warm. The biggest gun carried is a Model 12-2 with a 2" barrel. My guns get carried in either a OWB or IWB holster. When I take my dogs hiking I open carry a bigger gun.

Pennsylvania is an open carry state and has no laws about printing.

A one size larger t-shirt sounds fine

but when your t-shirt size is already an XXXL (54 long sport jacket) it's a little tougher. I usually have a tucked in t-shirt, IWB holster and a 4XL size plaid shirt, unbuttoned and untucked. The plaid breaks up any outline of my 457, and looks normal here in the upper left corner. Fortunately, "hot" here equals 85. Anything over that is OMG I'm gonna die.

Depending on the weather, but today it was in the mid to upper 80's (Ohio) and I carried my Bodygurad 380 in the left thigh pocket of my cargo shorts and then had my M&P 9 on my right hip in a Cross Bread IWB Super Tuck Deluxe.

More often than not, I wear Dickies shorts and carry my M&P 9 in the IWB Cross Bread with a t-shirt...... sure it prints, but only those who are looking can tell.

I have been around frineds who know that I carry and they will not even know that I am with a t-shirt on.

I first have to tell you my dress code- either Blu. jeans, t-shirt, pull-over sweatshirt,(jacket or jackets as needed); or cargo type shorts and t-shirt- shoes optional- This on or off duty for most of my 30 year career.
I have two modes of carry- three actually if you count the single shot between my legs. I have a "Tucker" IWB for when I wear clothes- I mean jeans and sweatshirt.
My other mode is a custom made, firearm dedicated fanny-pack. We started out in the 80's putting our guns in camera cases on our belts when undercover and such. When the fanny pack craze hit, we adapted. I have trained in these packs, and in most cases, is as fast as a thumb break pancake on the hip. May not be GQ, but I'll strap on an Ant-eater hide wearing a $600.00 suit, and nobody is the wiser. I can wear it working out, running, at the beach, whatever. I recently went to Universal Studios in Hollywood- felt lazy- did not ID- passed through security w/ manual search- missed weapon compartment entirely.. I have several different styles- adapt for occasion.

pants, long or short, in the pocket carry, t-shirts covering a flat semi auto or small cal revolver, two shirts, one button opened, sweater in the winter. more pockets, 5.11 tactical pants with the gun in the pocket..
ankle holsters. shirts, pockets, more shirts more pockets, purses for girls, fanny packs for guys, day planners that are concealed carry storage devices. the list is endless and only limited by imagination

"custom made, firearm dedicated fanny-pack" Mike, Do you know of anyone offering these currently? What type of weapon did you use?

I honestly do not know. I bought several about 15years ago. They were made so well that the only real maintenance necessary were replacing the zippers periodically. I tried contacting the maker several times over the past several years- the number was disconnected w/ no internet info. He was a sole proprietor based in Sonora, CA. My gut says, he passed away. I found one in Oatman, Arizona last year, nice leather but with hook and loop design in gun compartment. I'll post some pics tomorrow- my house is asleep.
my packs can handle medium and large frame autos and one extra mag- although w/the mag- the gun compartment becomes cluttered and slower to draw.

I use a M638, lock removed and "The Plug" in the hole. I have a Barami Hip Grip w/ a BK grip adapter. I put the M638 in my waist band in the kidney position. I have carried this way for over forty years. If that type of carry is not practical, I use a Galco Ankle Glove or a Galco Bodywrap belly band.

Summer time a Model 19 in either a IWB or OWB holster under a banded polo shirt. Winter time in Wyoming, it just ain't a problem.

The usual tricks apply:

1) Go one size up on your shirt. Shirts must not be taper cut. Shirts should have darker colors or patterns. Don't wear clothing with gun, martial arts, or "tactical" logos and slogans on them.
2) Use an excellent gun belt. I recommend 1.5" wide belts since they fit through most pants loops.
3) There should be forward cant to the holster to mitigate printing of the grip in back.
4) Sit up straight when seated and don't lean forward. Squat when picking something off the ground or down low.
5) Revolvers should have grips that do not extend past the bottom of the frame. Semi-autos should not have mag funnels or bumper pads on the magazine.
6) Inside-the-pants holsters hold the gun tightly to the body and reduce printing from the side or back. Go up one or two inches in pants waist size.
7) Barrels will print somewhere around the bottom of the back pocket. Keep the barrel or slide length appropriate to avoid this. Barrel print will vary by pants, so check yourself before going out.
8) Squeaky leather can get you "made". Do a movement and jump sound check. Use different materials to change how contact is made. I use rubber straps on my leather IWB holsters with a leather gun belt. Sometimes my ammo pouches cause the noise; you'll have to experiment.

I rarely try to hide my gun completely. But I'm not sure of the laws in MI for you so what I do may not work for you.

However- I like so many others have said tailor the gun to what I am doing or wearing. Wintertime you can find me mostly wearing an EP pancake with a 19 4" in it or a 1911. But down here in the heat of the summer it is more than likely going to be a J frame or pocket auto 380 stuffed in my front pocket.
