What Do You Think Of The M&P9

Correct on the first part. They are just standard frequency led's. From what I understand the blood tracking one is a combination of blue & red led's to create a third color to highlight red objects. The ones pictured are 2 blue led lights & the center is the laser.

I like mine, even though it doesn't have little red and blue lights on it.

As others have mentioned the ergonomics are very nice, especially if your hands are out of the normal range. Mine are a bit big.

The inside measurement from the web of my thumb to the tip of my index finger is 3-3/4". I use the small grip and it's fine.

Shot a XD 9 and M&P 9 side by side and took the XD back. Have full size and compac. Love the changeable grips.

I can tell you before i purchased a semi auto i was dead set on glocks i really wanted a glock 27 (you know small but powerful) let me tell i thank my range guys every time i go in to shoot for making me shoot several of their guns including the M&P 40 and the glock 27 and let me tell you after i shot glocks i thought i was sold my range guy handed me a M&P40 after i shot the M&P i was sold i didnt want to shoot any thing else, the way this gun felt was awesome! So when i went to purchase an M&P i had my dilemma a .40 or a 9mm i chose the 9mm since the ammo was cheaper and my wife wanted to shoot with me (i figured less kick for her) my first time at the range with the M&P9 i knew i had made the right purchase! I was a die hard Glock fan! They say its all about the Glock right-- Wrong i'll put my M&P against a Glock any day! S&W is all i will ever own from here out!

I just picked a M&P 9mm as a Xmas present to myself up today. After I runs a few mags thru it I'll try a little trigger work to tune it to my tastes. per:

I've had my M&P a few years and fortunately the trigger is just fine. I'm of the mind "If it ain't broke, don't fu-- fix it up."

I have just over 10500 rounds through my M&P 9. I am a retired wildlife officer (HR 218) and an IDPA shooter.

Never had a fail load or extract however recently I discovered I had a crack in my slide. I sent it into Smith and Wesson on Friday and had it back with new slide the following Friday. Put slightly more than 450 rounds through it since and it is again a great shooter. I am again carrying it every day and trust my life with it.

In my HO if you can't shoot an M&P pistol well then you probably will not be able to shoot anything else well either. Just too easy to shoot.

The full sized 9 was the same price as the 40 and neither had mag safety so I went w/40. The only other 40 I had was the CS40 and I have a couple of 9's...

Gotta love the ergonomics on the M&P. I'll swear they had a physical anthropologist in the design team. After comparing every SA service pistol I gotta say the M&P fits best. Last week I ordered a Spec-Op(threads & no mag-safety), "from my wife to myself" for xmas. Now I gotta wait til my birthday for a Tundra!
Block & S-field need to take note.

I tried like hell to like S&W third generation pistols. But try as I might, the grip's thickness and trigger reach of the DA/SA models make them non-starters.

Then I tried the M&Ps and got hooked. Very shootable, very accurate, and very reliable by all credible accounts. Holsters galore available for it and the list of accessories and pistolsmiths for it keeps growing every day.

I'd like to find a DAO 3rd generation to see if the shorter trigger reach will work for me.
