What is my most solid go to??? It depends on the task at hand. But for EDC, downtown Atlanta to work a block away from the CNN Center is can get rough. That's an easy choice, my CZ "P-01" for sure. For when I get home and around town in Roswell... where it's much, MUCH nicer here in "suburbia" I'm opting for my new 629-6 stoked with 200 grain .44Special Gold Dots. It's on me for the nightly GSD walks with my daughter and wife as well. For the the woods its certainly the same only loaded with full house .44Mags, 305 Grain Lead Long Flat Nose Gas Checks from Underwood to be specific. This revolver I'm finding IS my most versatile handgun I own I'm finding. I'm thinking about sending the cylinder off for machining to accept Moon Clips in the near future!

L. W. Seecamp

Since I seldom shoot anymore, when I leave the house, I put this Little, absolutely reliable .32 cal. Seecamp pistol, loose, in a pocket, for SD.

Either my Glock 19 MOS or my LCP. I am surprised how many 44 mags are mentioned as go-too guns. You guys must want to hurt someone.

A 629 is just so versatile... For street/around town use mine stays loaded with .44Special, 200grain, CCI Gold Dots... But for the woods a 305grain, Hard Cast in .44Mag moving at 1150fps will put the big hurt on any 4 legged, thick pelted threats. The OP mentioned the outdoors too so that is why so many are mentioning the .44 Magnum. Mine is a 629-6 with a 3" barrel so it's pretty easy to carry around town or on the trails. I have quite a few semi-auto and revolver handguns. But this 629 is absolutely the most versatile... load dependent of course! What a joy it is having these load options too!
