What gun is your nightstand gun?

S&W Model 66 on the nightstand, backed up by a Marlin 1894 in .357. The deadly trio acts as my early warning system:

Uhhh...an SBS 12ga with a pistol grip and 000 buck...

Mine is a 686 7-shot with six inch barrel. A home defense gun has to be accurate, reliable and very MEAN LOOKING.

A 65-5 on the nightstand and a S&W 3000 riot shotgun with 1 buck leaning in the corner beside the nightstand.

Some of you must live on really rough neighborhoods or you be paranoid as hell. Well I guess that is what makes the world go around these days.

You must be one of those people that think bad things only happens to everybody else. Nothing personal meant, but bad things can happen anywhere.

Yeah, and that coming from a guy who claims that he lives in the "State of Misery"..... I'd think that I would want a brace of nightstand guns if I lived there!

I don't have one, but then there is the loaded Benelli pump just under the edge of the bed.

Currently, a 45acp HK USP compact tactical with night sights, and my dog Gunny who's my avatar pic. Gunny is a 110lb E. German bloodline German Shepherd. He's chief of "homeland security"

Model 66 on my side and a 442 on my wife's. When I was in Iraq last year, she kept the Mossberg 500 on her side, too. We each have a small safe attached to the bed frame, with the revolver and flashlight inside.

Glock 17, 124GR +P Gold Dots, night sights, and a DAO M-37, 135GR +P Gold Dots.

In spite of my country's strict gun laws, I still can have (by now) this Browning Hi-power practical near in my bedroom. It is loaded either with domestically-made "Santa Barbara" brand 115 Grain SJSP or with Fiocchi 115 grain FMJ (hollow point ammo is strictly forbidden for civilians in Spain).

Diego,
Will your government allow an Expanding Metal Jacket (EMJ, Power Ball) type bullet for use by civilians? Your government types are not are not unlike ours!

A very mean-looking but rather benign nickel 6" 25-5 is at arms length, and if the tomfoolery gets too out of hand, a Winchester 1300 defender 12 gauge with 00 does the job.
