What gun is your nightstand gun?

With all the S&W's I have, this is the one I keep there....Logic? If I have to use it, a S&W will not be kept by the Police!!!
It really is a great pistol!

Usually the 5N7 with 20 rounds of 40gr V-Max because of wife and grandson in the house.

But sometimes I have the DW on duty, but usually will have the 4" barrel installed.

The main reason for the FN is without a round in chamber and the manual safety it is pretty secure around a 4 year old if he got hold of it some how. Also the 40 gr V-Max are not big wall penetrators and that might be useful in the house.

I don't like nightstand guns. I can handle guns in my sleep and they scare the heck out of me. I keep an M-16A1 clone across the room and I can grab my 629 out of the safe if I want to instead. Two or three steps across the room, in order to get the cobwebs out of my head, are a good thing IMO.

My side: EAA Witness .45 ACP loaded with Remington Golden Saber 230 gr. HP.

Wife's side: M67 with Federal Nyclad 125 gr. HP

Various others where they will do us some good if we aren't in the bedroom when TSHTF.

Glock 20 with 16 rounds of 135-grain Noslers, lasermax and streamlight. Revolver simplicity with more than double the ammo capacity.

Sig P220 w/200g Winchester Silvertips. I've been thinking about moving to my 1911 because its got night sights.

Anyone know much about Federal HydroShock boolits? I have a couple dozen in both 230g and 165g and I've been tempted to switch from the Silvertips to those. I don't need the latest and greatest, hell, it's a .45acp and close range at that.

Don't use either if you don't know they're 100% reliable in your gun. You have to fire enough of them to find out.

Currently, a Glock 22 with Glock tac light attached. Stored in a small electronic safe not secured to anything, but with a motion alarm. Lately, I've been thinking maybe I should switch to one of my lesser value S&W revolvers (64 or 681) so a burglar don't end up with a loaded Glock 22. However, I can go out tommorrow and buy another G22 just like the one I have, no muss, no fuss. It would take some doing to find a replacement no-lock S&W.

Oh, they feed well. This Sig eats everything and I've fired them all. I'm damn near convinced this Sig would feed a caliber other than .45acp if I asked it to.

My question is about effects on BG's, not feeding.

Same as Kurac, but my G23 is loaded up with 180gr. GD's. No holster so to speak, but a stationary sleeve which allows for just a few inches of travel before the gun is free............at arms length from my side of the bed.

Once again just like Kurac, there's also a tuned-up 642 which is just as available to my wife.........now maybe that wasn't too smart........grin.

Ruger P95 with 17 rds of Winchester 115 gr JHP, spare mag and a Surefire G2. Smiths are kept under lock and key.

Mine is a S&W 686 6" loaded with Corbon 125 JHP, taught my wife how to shoot it well and now I don't know if that was a good thing to do or not!

a 4566tsw with Trijicon night sights and a TLR-1 light loaded with Federal HST's

A 329pd with 6 rounds of 200 gr .44 special and close by a 386pd with 7 rounds of .38+p .
