What guns make you think you want another of the same

Actually it. might sound cheap. But I got a pair of S&W SD9ve models. Put apex triggers on them with tru glow sights and have them put up safely around the house just for home invasion purposes ..take those to the range all the time and with 18 rounds. You csn just beat on them all day long. Never misfire or any problem. As long as I don't shoot Winchester white box ammo. Those guns just don't like em. But all around under 400 with the upgrades a great gun to have around the house in a pinch.

Agree! I recently bought a SD9VE as my first polymer pistol. It reminds me of my Model 10 revolvers- a basic essential no frills handgun that is reliable, accurate, and inexpensive enough to have a couple placed in strategic places.

The Model10 revolver and CZ75 are other handguns that seem to require a companion.

With long guns, 870 Wingmasters seem to be the gun that just begs for a companion.

Any that I carry and/or use on a regular basis...........................

I've been fortunate....... to be able to afford backups to most of my EDC guns....... from my 3913NL to my 3" 66s....... and most inbetween.

I thought a fixed sight model 19 was a model 13? I had a 3" model 65 at one point, but I disliked the recoil of shooting 357 out of it, so got rid of it and now have a m64 in 3" that shoots plenty good with +p 38spl.

A fixed sight model 19 has an ejector shroud and is marked as a model 19. there were a few special model 19s made with fixed sights. The 19-3 RS is tze rarest, next in line is the Peruvian police model 19, it was made in 2 1/2 and 4 inches.

The 19-3 RS isn't just a rare collectible, it is a great shooter.

My Beretta Cougars, I really liked them.
Beretta quit making them and turned production over to Stoeger.
Only need one more to finish the series I guess and that would be the one in 9mm.
I really liked them because they fit my hand perfect, they were great for CCW and they shot well.

I've only ever bought a couple of guns that I already owned. I bought several Marlin 60's. You can't beat them for the price and I had two setup for different purposes (one was a hunter and the other a night varmint gun). I ended up with a third because I found a squirrel stock model and just wanted it. Then I found a 60SS and really liked the looks. I'm down to 2 60s but I do have a 795 too.

Ather gun I bought a backup for was my SKS. They were starting to get scarce and I found a great deal on Yugo. I had so much ammo I just wanted something to shoot it up with should my Norinco give out. But the Yugo rusted inside the barrel - chrome lining does matter. So I traded that one off. I've never had problems with an SKS anyway so I can probably shoot up the thousands of rounds I have for it if I want. I just kept finding really good deals on 7.62 X 39 so I ended up with a lot. I shot a lot of it too but I still have crates of it around. Considering I moved on to AR's I probably should sell off a lot of that ammo but the SKS is one rock solid design if you get the right one (Norinco milsurp) so I keep hanging on to the stuff.

One other I doubled up on was the NEF Pardner. They're 870 clones (parts swap out with an 870 except for barrels). They were so cheap and so good I bought 2. I eventually gave one to my son in law since I really didn't need 2 of those and an 870. But I have one set up for HD and one set up for bear defense so I am keeping both. I live in the woods with a LOT of black bears. I don't really worry but they have threatened me when I was cooking on the grill especially.

The main ones I'd happily own duplicates of are the Korriphila HSP, Delta AR Top Gun, and HK USP FS. Otherwise, it's mostly a situation where having one example scratches the itch well enough. I've come into owning duplicates of some other guns and I end up just selling them because it feels unnecessary.

Mine is a 45-120-3 1/4 Sharps with a 4 power brass scope that runs the length of the barrel. Busts broom handles at 700 yards but kicks like a mule.

I put a scope on my 6 inch 617 a while back and while I love it set up like that, it means that particular gun is now a dedicated target pistol and no longer a casual plinker. So...a 4 inch 617 would be nice for those times when I'm not trying to shoot the eyelashes off a gnat.

I'd also love another CZ 75. I have a Cold War Memorial model and because it's a limited edition I would love to keep it as pristine as possible for as many years as possible...so...an all steel CZ 75 Compact is probably going to be my next bottom feeder.

The pattern I see in both is the desire for slightly different (and smaller) versions of the same favorite guns which add to the collection without being 100% redundant. Just sort of redundant...

I bought a SIG SP2022 in nine for the wife. Liked it so much I bought another. It's the only 9mm I own.

I bought two Shields, but different calibers. Just recently bought an M&P Compact in 9mm that I like so much, I want another. But that's probably not gonna happen.
